Is this series still worth picking up? Given the fact that the Edios has lost interest in the series. Posted: 24 Jan 2021 04:36 PM PST I have played both MD and HR. I played HR when it came out. I was younger then. I enjoyed it but never completed it. It was a bit over my head for my age then. I played through most of HR and, absolute loved the atmosphere, side quests, settings, and general atmosphere. I logged many hours into it. Life got in the way and, I never got to finish it. Though I fell in love with it and, have been missing it. I understand HR leaves off on a cliffhanger. I also understand Edios are not really all that focused on making Dues Ex games. Is it worth bothering playing through both games. Knowing I will probably never have a ending to the story. Or at the very least. Have to wait multiple years for a conclusion that may or may not be worth while? Is it worth buying a game series thats story is incomplete and, cast aside by its creators? Deus Ex modding help Posted: 24 Jan 2021 03:34 PM PST First off, yes, I know I was given a link to a discord about modding, but because I'm having problems finding information just searching means other people might as well, so I'm hoping someone answering me will help those people, just like the handful of times I did find what I was looking for because someone asked a question on a forum or on Reddit. Using another mod as a guide, I exported copies of the textures I wanted out of the DeusExCharacter.u . I then imported them into their own utx file. I then exported the Classes text information from the DeusEx.u, altered the character files to look for the related skins in the new UTX., renamed the DesuEx.u to stop it from being overwritten and generated a new file using UCC. I placed the new .u file into a folder with the new UTX, renamed the original .u file back and then edited the .ini to look in the new folder first. When I booted up the game, this is what came up. The skins I'm intending to modify are not showing up and seeing through the bodies is kinda freaky. I've made one change to one skin just as a test. My intent was to get all the skins I wanted to mod into a seperate UTX file that I can update easily, rather than regenerating a new DeusEx.u file each time. So what has happened. Do I have a conflict? Do I need to modify another file?
