Posted: 23 Jan 2021 11:15 AM PST So recently I got back into Deus Ex HR after a long hiatus and the disappointment that was cyberpunk 2077 and Man this game is timeless....I haven't played this game in well over 2-3 years and the 'vibes' or feels I get whenever I play this game is ALWAYS THE SAME it's almost like a time capsule for me that airs back to my childhood... the music , the art ...the story it's purely masterclass and timeless ...I first got Deus ex in 2012 when I was just 9 years old and I instantly fell in love with it , ofc I did not get the story that much back than but playing it now it's like a familiar and new experience at the same time ....I can't put into words my love for this game ...... Another cool but weird thing I realised aswell are the parallels we see in this day and age that this game made almost a decade ago....civil conflict and mass dystopia ☑️ , Billion Dollar Companies that basically monitor and control everything we do ☑️....the list goes on it's kinda cool and worrying at the same time ... Deus Ex: The Conspiracy [Remake] Posted: 23 Jan 2021 10:39 PM PST With the disappointment of Cyberpunk, and the Hiatus of the Deus Ex series; the time is right to begin development on a Remake of the original game. Briefly broken down is the why:
Hopes and dreams, that someone from Square and/or Eidos comes across posts like these and might actually think about this possibility. It isn't only a desire of many Deus Ex fans, but also a low risk and profitable business move while introducing many new fans into the franchise, and showing the world what a proper Cyberpunk game is. Why did they discontinue the series? Posted: 23 Jan 2021 06:01 PM PST We could have had the next and last chapter to wrap up Jensen's story and if you release the game after Cyberpunk 2077. 2016+5 years equal 2021. It would have sold well. [link] [comments]
MD - Thoughts after finishing (spoilers) Posted: 23 Jan 2021 10:19 PM PST I just finished Mankind Divided and wanted to spill my thoughts on the game before I head out. This may come off as a rant to those who like the game more than me so I'll start by giving the game a 6.5 out of 10 compared to HR which I would give a 9 out of ten. With Human Revolution, I remember I played the game through about seven times in a row trying out all the different tech because it was so fun. With Mankind Divided, I was bored and wanted the game to finish by the time I left G.A.R.M. The main redeeming quality of MD is its game play. The stages are all designed to be quite large with a variety of ways to get through the stages. I believe this came at the sacrifice of story. By not having a very specific story, it is easier to design levels to have multiple pathways through. I feel like they over-did this though, meaning every stage had materials for gun fighting, hacking, sneaking etc. So it didn't matter as much what you spec into because they always gave you enough that you could pass the stage in all manner of ways. HR is much more linear in both level design and story telling keeping you on a tight leash but offering a much deeper experience and story. MD has much more options and modularity but loses in terms of story impact. When I first started the game, the story line already began to annoy me. Characters who were very stereotypical or generic popped out to dramatically voice their mission/concern. It's like bitch I couldn't care less about your urgent tone. I also found it dull to have Koller, Chang and Smiley all essentially the same character. Nerd who is very pompous and fussy. Very forgettable overall where as Pritchard from HR and Alex Jacobson from DX1 were much more decent characters who weren't a generic card board cut out. Even the final boss Marchenko was ultra generic (i.e. Barrett from HR). This is a shame as it was quite a fun fight to kill him, if only I had more desire and reason to do so. The characters I liked most were probably Delara the psychiatrist (revealed to be more in the post credit scene) and Aria Argento the armourer chick who watches the weapons. I remember starting to develop good vibes with Argento much like I did with the DX1 armourer downstairs. It's super cool when he eventually unlocks the armoury for you! I wish the dialogue and actions evolved more with Argento. Delara was one of the characters I didn't find to be too stereotypical or generic. I found her dialogue to be pretty reasonable in a real life context and enjoyed her interaction with Adam. There were a lot of quality of life improvements making the game play much smoother. One thing that annoyed me was that there was no damage upgrade for the 10mm pistol and the explosive shots for the revolver (or maybe I just didn't find them?). I'm impressed with the klipspringer augment as this can be a real headache for game makers who now have to make sure you can't jump into any weird places. Overall I quite like the maps and the hub style game design. It gives you a nice big map to play around and the levels such as Golem City are also quite large. This contrasts with HR's more narrow and linear stages. I would say MD did a good job with this. Making the map large whilst retaining interest by placing lots of stuff all over the place. One thing I found odd was that when you speak to Vega about Miller when you break into his apartment is that Vega says he is SASR (I am assuming he is Australian based on the flag in his place) which is why his apartment is a "tight ship". But if you go into his office to get to the NSN you will find that his office is a mess. Now I am assuming they designed the office to fit with the rest of the TF29 base but this detail bugged me. Overall I am glad I did not play this upon release when they were trying to make more money out of it. I picked up a few triangles but installing an app on my phone to play the game more is a definite no so I had no use for the triangles. I also ended up with around 14k credits because I never used them. I played HR back in 2011 when it was released. It might just be that ten years later, I've become more jaded and experienced, which makes me enjoy the game less. But nonetheless I did have fun hacking everything. I really enjoyed hearing the phrase "Anomaly detected, trace program initiated." Turning on friendly fire with turrets and robots was probably the most fun I had all game. After G.A.R.M I dumped all my hoarded praxis into battery and glass shield. I was just tired of fighting enemies which needed to have their helmet shot off before they could be head shotted. I ended up ratting most of the last section of the game. In the end, I think I achieved the bad ending because everyone died (including Miller). I don't mind though because I am not playing this game again. It was worth playing but only because I am a big fan of the franchise. For people who aren't into it or don't know about it, I probably wouldn't recommend it. [link] [comments]
Which ending is the best in your opinion? Posted: 23 Jan 2021 08:25 PM PST What's your opinion about which deus ex 1 ending is the best in your opinion? Because my ranking is: 1: dark age 2: helios 3: the other one, i forgot the name of it. [link] [comments]
Posted: 23 Jan 2021 07:46 PM PST Doing a new play through of Deus Ex 1. There seems to be an issue with ammo drops. For example, picking up a 7.62x51 drop, I get 1 or 2 rounds. Is this a bug? This seems insanely low to me. I'm not doing a "full on assault" style play through or anything, but I do have to shoot enemies at times, and I have run out completely of ammo for pistol, sniper rifle, and assault rifle. (My chosen weapons for the play through) [link] [comments]

I have had enough of Revison. I have uninstalled it and will not play it again. Posted: 23 Jan 2021 06:15 AM PST I got up to killing Lebedev, hoping the game would be less dark, but it didn't. The darkness simply killed this game for me, I had to keep my torch on pretty much all of the time, and there were not nearly enough bio regen containers to replenish my energy. I was eventually using my flares in some parts, something I never had to resort to doing in the original DX. Once my flares expired and I had no energy left for my torch, that was the final straw. I'd simply had enough. [link] [comments] |
