Adam Jensen and Megan Reed: Why did they break up in the first place?

Deus Ex: Human Revolution establishes pretty clearly that Adam Jensen and Megan Reed's romantic relationship ended before the events of the game. However, Adam Jensen definitely doesn't seem to be over her - particularly whenever she is mentioned in Mankind Divided. They nonetheless are on amicable terms, pre-kidnapping - as amply demonstrated both by their comfortable vocational camaraderie in the prologue of Human Revolution and by Cassandra Reed's warm feelings toward Jensen early in the game.

So anyone have any thoughts as to why they ended their relationship? I realized today that I don't really have an answer to this. Perhaps it's character nuance inscrutable to us players, but I'm just wondering if anyone has any insights...

I bought the game on Steam, had already played a pirated version early and it ran well here, but not this one. A lot of stuttering on closed and open areas, low fps, crashes on some locations, characters stop talking out of nowhere. I've tried everything people said, changed the name of the exe, changed the registry, everything. How can I fix them? I mean, I can play it, but it's annoying to go through this kind of things, and my pc can handle this game with no problem.

So I was looking forward to Cyberpunk, but I feel pretty let down by it. I am starting a new and 4th playthrough of Human Revolution then Mankind divided, going to try and do a non-lethal run this time

I just hope the Cyberpunk hype inspires another title in the Deus Ex series, these games are up there among my favorite video games

Please dear God help me I'm begging you

I stomached the horrendous lag in DXHR: DC once, but I can't do it again. I've tried the regedit fixes (might've touched something I wasn't supposed to in the process) and nothing has helped. Running an AMD Raedon 290 with Intel I5. Thankfully Mankind Divided works wonderfully and I have 70 hours in it.

Please tell me there is another fix. I desperately want to replay it but I am beyond furious of how god fucking awful the stuttering is.
