I was disappointed they (the suits, moneymen, assholes who never played a video game yet are somehow in charge of making decisions like this) cancelled Deus Ex to make that shitty Avengers cash-grab GaaS, so I decided to see what the actually-talented people who actually created Mankind Divided were up to! Most are still at Eidos Montreal working on a "secret project"

Director - Jean-Francois Duga - Now Executive Game Director at Eidos Montreal.
Writer - Mary DeMarle - Now Executive Narrative Director at Eidos Montreal.
Producer - Olivier Proulx - still at Eidos. Marvel's Avengers (lead producer, single player campaign).
Producer - Marc-André Dufort - left company, now works for Unity middleware.
Designer - Richard Knight - now a UX designer Ubisoft Singapore - did Skull and Bones game.
Artist - Martin Dubeau - still at Eidos: Shadow of tomb raider, unannounced project.
Programmer - David Gallardo - Left briefly to work on Madonna AR video, now back at Eidos working on new secret project.
Senior art director - Martin Dubeau - still at Eidos: Shadow of tomb raider, new secret project.
Art Director - Jonathan Jacques-Belletête (the one with all the tats)- new company: Rogue Factor. Working on game "NecroMundo" a turn-based RPG in Unreal4.

I've read a load online about the easter eggs in DX:MD but one I haven't seen mentioned yet & wondered if anyone else had got onto was the music from the original when in Hong Kong on the radio, in between the guy ranting. As soon as I heard it I had a smile on my face, it brought back so many memories.

Court Upholds NY Grid Law

New World Press - Washington, D.C.

In a landmark six to three decision yesterday, the U.S. Supreme Court upheld the controversial "grid zoning" laws that have been the subject of a number of suits since being instituted six years ago.

Originally passed by the New York legislature in 2046 in response to the Upper West Side bombing that killed 45 people and wounded over a 100, the grid zoning laws effectively allowed the police to wall off regions of Manhattan and its surrounding boroughs. Foot traffic between these "zones" is prohibited, and travelling between zones is restricted to authorized subways or highways subject to police surveillance.

"A Travesty," said Gil Treble, representing the ACLU as plantiffs in the case. "This law is nothing more than the legalization of social oppression on a grand scale."

Supreme Court Justice Machen wrote in his favorable decision that "The unfortunate nature of American liberty is that freedom creates opportunity for terror. It is with heavy heart that I must conclude in this case that the freedom of individual Americans must be balanced against the needs of a community to feel safe and secure."
