Deus Ex not responding on startup. Posted: 27 Aug 2020 09:26 PM PDT Hello everyone. I heard someone mention Deus Ex so of course I had to install it for another play-through, but I'm having some problems. I have a new laptop, windows 10, higher specs than the last one but no matter how much I try, I can't get Deus Ex working. Kentie's launcher doesn't work, no other launcher I can find is working. So please, help me out. [link] [comments]
Posted: 27 Aug 2020 10:17 PM PDT -Samizdat originates in Prague and becomes archenemies with Picus by giving truthful news. K leads Samizdat and Picus is Morgan Everett's mouthpiece. This makes K and Everett archenemies. Samizdat escapes to Paris with Adam's help. -Over the next two decades, Samizdat evolves into Silhouette. -...Unfortunately, Paris becomes Everett's home when he hooks up with Beth DuClare. -Paris becomes an ideological battleground and both Everett and K ramp up their efforts to control the flow of media information throughout the city. -A teenage boy named Chad Dumier's parents are killed by police while peacefully protesting while Chad watches. K sees promise in Chad, recruits him into Silhouette, and takes him under his wing. Before long, Chad proves to be the leader K could never be, so K grooms Chad to become his successor. -During a mission at La Porte de L'Enfer, Chad meets Nicolette DuClare, and the two fall in love. Before long, Chad discovers that Everett, archenemy of his people, is Nicolette's stepfather of sorts, and that her own mother is on the ruling council. Everett is also aware that Chad is a Silhouette leader; he had Eliza spy on him for some time. Everett and Beth hope to use this to his advantage, to try and use Chad as their mole inside Silhouette. Neither Chad nor Nicolette wish to be used by their families against each other. Chad tells K that he will not take action against Everett's family because of Nicolette, and Nicolette refuses to help Everett work against Silhouette. K is furious with Chad for not putting the mission first, and Everett and Beth are disappointed with Nicolette for potentially aiding the enemy and possibly compromising the Illuminati. -A year passes and Picus and Silhouette are at a stalemate. Bob Page hatches his plan to betray Everett and wipe out Silhouette along with the Templars. Everett, Beth and Nicolette are nearly assassinated and are forced to flee from the Chateau DuClare. Everett leads them to the Knights Templar Cathedral where the knights have already been slaughtered by Gunther Hermann and Anna Navarre, except for one survivor: a young Templar named Saman. Everett asks Saman to join them, but Saman, distraught by how augmentation technology had so cruelly wiped out his Templar brothers, leaves on his own on a quest for justice against augmentation and those who control it. Nowhere left to go, Nicolette leads them to the only remotely safe place available: the Silhouette hideout. -Unfortunately, Page had moles in Silhouette who betray them and kill half their members, including Bones and Little K. Chad and K lead the survivors to safety as they escape Page's assassins, and eventually they meet up with Everett and the DuClares. -Face to face at last, K pulls a gun on Everett and prepares to execute him for all the injustices he committed, and he blames him for the deaths of Bones and Little K. The DuClares step in front of Everett to protect him, then Chad finally steps in between them and K, telling K that he has to kill him to get to Everett, and that if he kills Everett, he's no better than he or Bob Page. K, devastated, lowers his gun and spares Everett. Everett, for his part, apologizes, seeing that his and the Illuminati's vision had been corrupted over the years, and feeling guilty for allowing Bob Page take over. K does not accept Everett's apology, but tells him to go. At this time, Gunther Hermann catches up to them and prepares to kill them all, but K orders them to run while he holds Gunther off to buy them time to escape. Chad and Nicolette insist on fighting alongside them, but K refuses and tells Chad that Silhouette must survive. K attacks Gunther and is easily killed, but this gives them time to escape to Toby Atanwe's place, where Stanton Dowd waits there to meet with all of them, along with Lucius DeBeers in his cryo machine. Picus and Silhouette, once archenemies, have united into one alliance. Chad vows to continue Samizdat's legacy and defeat MJ12 using all available means. [link] [comments]

Mankind Divided crashes at random points Posted: 27 Aug 2020 10:45 AM PDT First it happened when talking to Milena and then it happened after I jumped on the balcony of some random apartment building. I've talked to Milena afterwards and the game was fine and I've been in that apartment before without having the game crashing on me. I'm playing on high settings with no FPS issues. There's nothing going wrong performancewise. The game just freezes for a second and crash to desktop, no error or anything. [link] [comments]
