Hong Kong in the first game is my favourite videogame level ever

The amount of detail, dialogue, atmosphere, hidden stuff, places to go and superb music in that hub makes that particular part of the first Deus Ex my favourite in every videogame I ever played. There's nothing quite like that, modern gaming even when great can't put that ridiclous amount of detail and complexity in the level (i understand it's because they have to worry way more about voice acting and graphics and marketing and etc)

Only Shenmue (a masterpiece on its own but way more frustrating to play than Deus Ex) could put that amount of information in a place. It's the pinnacle of the immersive sim genre... cake is the ficticious historical developments in the Hong Kong from the game, the few scripted events like that invasion on the club or the gang fightes in the streets, being able to pay those girls to enter, the huge ammount of philosophy, sociology and politics input in this game (the conversation with the bartender, omg)

Do you guys agree? Any favourite Deus Ex level/hub?

Question 1: does the story pick up after missing link dlc (that shit was ass) Question 2: how much of the game is left I had already dabbled in every game by now haven't completed any of them yet (got the first game yesterday) excluding invisible war so yeah not enjoying HR rn but before that it was pretty good.

    DX:HRDC Foxiest of the hounds

    Posted: 02 Jul 2020 02:02 AM PDT

So I know enemies spotting you doesn't count as an alarm until they trigger a panel or some shit, but what about in locationd like Sarif industries (in the tutorial) or Derelict row, where there's no alarm system to be activated, Would it matter if they go full hostile in these areas?

Bonus question: Am I wasting my time using Newgame+ for my Give me deus ex/pacifist/Foxiest of the hounds playthrough?
