- Why is square enix focusing more on that dead avengers game more than the next deus ex?
- My gaming schedule has been cleared due to a certain recent dumpster fire of a game launch. I finally got around to trying the original Deus Ex and I'm absolutely in love with it.
- OG Deus Ex isn't just prophetic, it's prophetic as all hell
- In regards to technological advances, how close have we come to, well, anything in the DX universe?
- Deus Ex: Human Revolution - The Real Cyberpunk Game - Save 4 Later Game ...
- too dark see shit in game
Why is square enix focusing more on that dead avengers game more than the next deus ex? Posted: 16 Dec 2020 09:54 AM PST I am so curious especially after the hype of cyberpunk 2077 and all the upset people on last gen with the game. If they released a new one sooner all the people who got refunds would have definitely used that money on the next deus ex. [link] [comments]
Posted: 16 Dec 2020 03:53 PM PST I should have done this sooner. I never really got into it because it didn't have flashy graphics and "it's 20 years old, how good can it be?" Pretty damn good, as it turns out. While the character models are hilariously bad, the environments and their atmosphere still hold up. As does the soundtrack which is excellent. The guns are severely lacking in "punch" though, both in terms of sound as well as damage. The story so far has been amazing and gripping which I definitely didn't expect. Overall there's also a certain Charme about this game that I can't quite put my finger on but it's something that modern games just can't replicate. Similar to The Witcher 1. Maybe it's the jankiness and the silly visuals? I'm not sure. Been playing all day today and I can't wait to continue on tomorrow. Just wanted to share and maybe inspire others to give it a try if you haven't already. [link] [comments]
OG Deus Ex isn't just prophetic, it's prophetic as all hell Posted: 16 Dec 2020 03:07 PM PST The conspiracies portrayed in Deus Ex aren't necessarily true, but the spirit is. The government and corporations are having a great time with each other and screwing us in process. Grey plague? How about what we're living through right now, great GETS for unscrupulous parties. And everyone suffers. Except for a few people that have enough resources to control the rest of the population. [link] [comments]
In regards to technological advances, how close have we come to, well, anything in the DX universe? Posted: 16 Dec 2020 07:36 AM PST Obviously we don't have hulking mechs or leg augmentations yet but thinking about it, we do have jet propulsion like the plane/helicopter in human revolution. As for those databanks? Well ipads and tablets come pretty close (didnt have that in 2000s) but...theyre also way too expensive to just be leaving around everywhere. [link] [comments]
