    Heist bug

    I decided to replay MD for the 100500th time on the same laptop and never encountered this bug before. During Heist mission, whenever I try to approach the stairs leading to the 3rd level, the game stops with black screen, while I still can access game menu and music continues playing. Apparently, it's an old bug, because I found the same problem discussed on Steam forum, with no solution. I updated all my drivers and restarted Windows, tried to use a different save with no success, don't know what else to do. Any ideas? I didn't try reinstalling the game yet because it's tedious especially when there's no guarantee that it'll solve the issue, so I'll leave it as the last resort

    Discord Overlay doesn't work with DX1 GOTY?

    I'm noticing that even with Discord running as admin, and overlay enabled both globally and for DX1, i'm not getting any overlay, and therefor can't stream it to my server via in-game. I need the overlay working because as soon as I alt-tab out of the game, 95% of the environment and HUD goes black, needing a restart.

    Currently running Kentie's DeusExe launcher, HW acceleration in Discord is disabled, Steam version of GOTY.

    Anyone else experience this? I'm super lost.

    A lot of things in game directly hints at Adam being a clone i.e. that youtube video with versalife vault. If there are hints that's he is a clone in the game, then he is a clone, because devs have put it there to tell us he is a clone. It's Chekhov's gun. You try to apply logic to prove it's wrong but it's not about logic, it's about the fact that the devs decided to make Adam a clone and them telling it us via vague means.

    Or the only thing that would convince you is Email directly stating:

    -Hey, Bob Page, it's Megan Reed, I just made a couple of AJ clones and one of the works in Prague.

    -Good. What happened to the original one?

    -He sank in the Arctic.

    -Oh. Anyway, thank for the information.

    I guess only that is enough to convince some people.

    -You see, Adam Jensen doesn't have the original augs, but totally the new ones, he doesn't really remember what has been happening to him, there are emails hinting about him being a clone in the Versalife vault, there are even other Adam Jensen clones in the Versalife vault, there is that post-credit scene. So I think devs wanted to say us he is a clone. Chekhov' gun, remember?

    -No, it's just coincidence that the devs put it all together in the game, they didn't want to say us anything or at best they simply wanted to tell us there is maybe some clone business somehow connected to Adam Jensen, but totally not Adam Jensen being clone himself.
