| First playthrough ever of DE1, vanilla or else? Posted: 24 Apr 2020 01:03 PM PDT Hey everyone, just discovered I have an original copy of the OG DE lying around by mere coincidence. I guess I bought it as a child and never understood it, me being like 8 or so at the time. So I gathered info about the game, got to know the success DE1 had and now want to give it a shot. Knowing it's pretty old, is it ok to play vanilla or is there a better alternative? I'm mainly talking about objective stuff like OS compatibility and bug fixes, I'm not a graphics snob haha. I heard about the GMDX mod which is listed in the FAQs here as well, looks interesting all around. Would that be a good choice or does it ruin the vanilla experience for a first time player? Thanks.
