Why does this sound so familiar

    Posted: 14 Mar 2020 12:39 PM PDT

Can somebody please explain to me JC and Paul’s story? I’ve read every Wiki article and I’m still confused.

So there are very conflicting stories here that don't make sense when put together.

The first one, as everyone knows, is the cloning story. Mr. and Mrs. "Denton" have a child named Paul who's a very good candidate for nano augmentations; they get offered money to have a child eleven years later, who turns out to be JC, etc. Parents find out what they want to do to him, they get killed. JC sent to Swiss school as Paul joins UNATCO. JC is a perfect clone of Paul.

So then ... how does this make sense if JC apparently was "made" by Bob Page in a lab? (Goo-filled tank, etc)? Also there are some rumors that all of Paul and JC's memories are implanted? If so, where are the parents?

Can someone please clear this up for me?

    Please and thank you. Lol.

Did Deus Ex predict 2052 accurately?

    Posted: 14 Mar 2020 11:19 AM PDT

Technologically, we're already pretty close to Deus Ex's future; The Internet is seemingly omnipresent and robots are becoming more and more practical and efficient. The only tech that still seems far off are augmentations, but then again there's a few more decades before 2052- the setting of the first Deus Ex.

The coronavirus is still in its early stages of spreading, but it is spreading pretty fast. The game doesn't specify the symptoms of the Grey Death, but unless we succeed in stopping the coronavirus now it might still be a problem by 2052 (and much more serious by then). So not only is technology approaching the 2052 of Deus Ex, but the possibility of a disease epidemic by that point is also present.

It's hard to say whether our 2052 will have the political issues it has in Deus Ex, as a big part of Deus Ex is the fact that the events were manipulated in secret. But what has remained eerily relevant about Deus Ex's message is the information provided by the NSF commander at the conclusion of the first mission. In 2017, Trump passed tax cuts for corporations (that businessmen Warren Buffet and Bill Gates themselves protested) that have increased income inequality- a process that the NSF commander claimed strengthened governments and weakened individuals over time.

What do you all think? Are we headed toward a future similar to that of Deus Ex? Or is this perhaps just speculation?

I'm skeptical of the official system requirements for Revision, what are they really?

3ghz dual core cpu and video card with 2gb vram? I don't think so... that sounds closer to a current AAA game. And 5gb ram? Never seen an odd number for ram requirement. I might do a youtube vid of trying to run it on the system requirements for the original game (Or perhaps the requirements for invisible war, acknowledging that the changes require at least a little more horsepower).
