    /r/DeusEx Monthly Community Thread - March 2020

    Posted: 29 Feb 2020 10:57 PM PST

Hello everyone and welcome to the monthly /r/DeusEx community thread!

This is a place to chill whenever you like, post feedback, ask questions that you don't think warrant a new thread, or just get that burning DX1 meme out of your system. It is okay to go off-topic, however other rules still apply - please be nice to the other users and use a spoiler tag if needed.

Question of the Month: It's JC and Adam's birthday month! How do you celebrate it with them?

We are making a game heavily focused on stealth with some elements in common with Deus Ex and we need your help!

    Hey all,

we are a team of Game Design students at Breda University working on a heavily focused stealth game called "Levis Umbra", currently in pre-production. We have been inspired by some stealth dynamics of Deus Ex series and we would like your help in order to get some insight on what kind of players engage with stealth games. We know this series cannot purely be defined as a stealth game, but we found it interesting and challenging to let different kind of players to take part in it.

We would like you to answer some questions about your experience with this genre: it's going to help us shape our project by understanding better, among other things, players' archetypes, needs, motivations and finally create a User Persona. This survey takes about 3~5 minutes to complete.

    Link to the Survey

We won't collect any data, but there's an option at the end of the survey to leave us your e-mail, in case you want to stay up to date with the development.

Thanks a lot in advance, we will greatly appreciate any feedback and I'll try to answer any question.

    Best regards,

    Knutto

    Should I play Mankind Divided?

I've heard conflicting reviews. Really loved the mechanics of Human Revolution. How does it expand on it? Is it worth playing? I know I'll get biased answers here but I had to ask.

Edit: Alright I've decided to pick it up. It's selling for a pittance and seems to be an improvement on the mechanics in HR.

I bought all the games on steam today as it was 80% off, started playing the first one and it didnt go that well, the controls are weird, there is no gints on where you are supposed to go and everything looks like potatoes, i just wanna jump to human revolution but i dont know If i will miss out on things, will i? I guess in that case i could watch some gameplay on YT

Can someone tell me where to get a non-DC digital version of Human Revolution for PC? The DC version isn't worth the $3 I paid for it.

The DC version is apparently a port of the Wii over to PC, but without ANY of the bug fixes.

Absolutely cheated out of my money.

Does anyone know where I can find a digital original version?
