    When Koller tells you about your new augs, he exclaims "The shit I found hidden inside you, spliced into your system like that, looks to me like it's from Mars, man!"

    Koller's book store is called The Time Machine, a clear refrence to the novel of the same name by H.G. Wells.

    Wells also wrote The War Of The Worlds, which features an alien invasion by creatures from Mars.

    I just beat Deus Ex:HR Director's Cut and I really enjoyed the game. I really liked this image at the end of one of the endings and was wondering if there was a higher res version I could use as wallpaper. Thanks in advance! Can't wait to try Mankind Divided.

    Did anyone else not encounter this?

    So when I played through the first Deus Ex game I kept hearing about a character named "Lucius DeBeers" online when people discussed the game but I finished the whole thing without even meeting this person. I don't think he was even mentioned at all. I was going through the various endings after I finished the game and noticed that this character was apparently the reason they didn't choose to side with Everett like I did when I heard people talk about the endings. I later found out that he's this guy in an chamber and that Everett stuck him in there for some reason.

    I didn't know you can have an actual conversation with Morpheus. I only encountered him when he merged with Daedalus and I think I talked to him one time on infolink.

    Did this happen to anyone else or am I just dumb?

    DXMD SM05, can't enter Daniel Janecek's password in Palisade Bank

    I recently starting playing this game, and i've gotten to this side mission where i have to break into the bank. After some sneaking around in vents and all that, i found an office with janecek's computer. I asked the ai person thingy to disable security, but it asked for an id, which i didn't have, so i selected the "nevermind, i'll come back later option." Later, i found a pocket secretary with the ID, so I came back to the office, only to find that the computer only shows the email now. There is not any option to talk to the ai again, so i can't use the password. Is this is supposed to happen(like the ai knew i was sketchy so it locked me out) or is it a bug? Apparently the game only stores your latest quick save, so i can't load a previous save unless i want to start the whole infiltration over again.

    Who is the girl in the train?

    In the intro sequence with the train, before Adam arrives to Prague moments before the terrorist attack in the beginning of the game, Jensen wakes up next to a lady which is sleeping with her head on his shoulder. At first I thought she was Megan Reed, his ex-girlfriend, but Adam doesn't seem to know her since he doesn't mention her at all even when she might have been hurt in the terrorist attack.

    Later in the game you meet Delara Auzenne, the psychologist from the interpol which looks exactly like the girl in the train. But talking to her reveals Adam never met her.

    Was she just a random npc and I'm looking into it too much?

    Deus Ex: GOTY on ultrawide?

    I got all the deus ex games when they were on sale in December and finally got around to playing the original, but i ran into some issues because of my screen size.

    I have an ultrawide monitor (3440x1440) and I've been trying to make it work. I dug up a forum post from 2015 that said to use "Kentie's Launcher", which I installed, but no matter what i did, I couldn't make the window fullscreen. So i uninstalled that and modified the game files myself, which allowed me to get most of it working but now the HUD takes up 3/4 of the screen.

    Has anyone gotten Deus Ex GOTY working on an ultrawide? Hell, I'd be fine to play the game letterboxed on both sides if it would go fullscreen and have the HUD at a reasonable size.

    I appreciate and thank you for any help in advance.

    Edit: For that one person who googles the same question 5 years from now, I figured it out. Kentie's launcher works, but not with Direct 3D rendering. Got it to work with OpenGL.

    Praxis kits xbox one

    Ok so recently(today) i purchased over 65 praxis kits from the xbox store as they were £0.15 each as i had also purchased mankind divided for £5.99 the day before i assumed that i would i would be able to attain these praxis kits across multiple saves however i can't i found this out after i realised that you cannot disable augs which you have upgraded however i was not informed this until i had maxed out all of my augs and was running at 500% overclock and thinking it will be ok i will just have to restart the story again but no the praxis kits do not carry ove so i have wasted about £13 on a game which cost me £6 and i cant do anything about it.

    -side note i waited until it had shut down 4 augs however it still kept at 450% overclock.
