Posted: 24 Dec 2019 10:18 PM PST So, I'm just doing my Annual play through of Mankind Divided. As always, I am having a blast. Anyways, I just knocked out SM06, and I don't know if I'm just getting old and can't remember this that well, or maybe I skipped it last year by accident, but I just had some serious WTF, and Oh Shit Moments. I apologize for not diving into much details, I want to keep it generally spoiler free, but the info you acquire from this side mission, (side-mission, mind you) and how it plays out is some serious shit for the whole series, the whole Deus Ex Universe. Some foodstuffs for thought that I had... 1) If you are in the Adam Jensen is a clone camp then this seems to really give some serious credence to that line of thought. (I know that the DLC with Pritchard kind of debunks the AJ is a Clone possibility, but I'm still not ready to take it off the table). 2) As far as the whole Deus Ex World/Universe goes, this is huge groundwork for Illuminati and AI involvement. 3) Morgan Everett was quite reckless in this mission and really overplayed his hand. If you were just a bystander and heard AJ talking all the time about Illuminati this and Illuminati that and never really believed but then saw this, you'd be right there in his kitchen making tin-foil hats with him! I think this mission is so easy to miss, and its too bad, because as far as world-building, multi-installment linking, and overall series story goes, 01011000 is one of the best there is, in the whole series. Anyways, I'm done raving. Happy Holidays Clanks! [link] [comments]
Installed Kentie's Launcher and the game still runs bad Posted: 24 Dec 2019 04:57 PM PST I have a very good modern system and yet my computer is still pulling ~30-50 fps, with a lot of stuttering. Any other tips to help improve performance? [link] [comments]

(rant) Are old games getting forgotten ? Posted: 24 Dec 2019 01:27 PM PST Hi there, Since the last decade, I'm thinking that games released before, let's say, 2005 are getting slowly forgotten or even worse : despised by newcomers. Take Fallout or even Rainbow Six for instance, most people nowadays think about Fallout 3-4 or R6 Vegas or Siege when we talk about those franchises. Hell, I even came across people thinking that Fallout 1 and 2 were shit games just because they weren't born yet ! Can you believe it ? It reminds me these so-called "Doom fans", assuring to be Doom fans while they, in fact, only play the game with Brutal Doom, and never played without it. This even applies to Deus Ex. Each time I see a new Deus Ex game, I get the feeling that the only thing that mattered for Eidos and Square was to destroy Ion Storm's legacy and hard work, like an attempt to erase previous games from peoples' minds. And it works, judging by the astonishing number of threads about HR and MD compared to those about DXTC and IW. Really, I just can't understand. It makes me kinda sad. [link] [comments] |
