Will we ever get a new deus ex? Posted: 05 Aug 2021 07:03 AM PDT What do you guys think? Mankind divided is truly one of the best games ever created, if not the best, in every aspect. Playing other games just feels like playing something very average compared to deus ex. I think that we need more games like deus ex, or a new deus ex perhaps. Feel free to suggest similar games! What is your preferred way to play Deus Ex 1? Posted: 05 Aug 2021 01:43 PM PDT We hear a lot about how people should play the game the first time but I'm curious how you all play DX after multiple playthroughs. What is your go to "setup"? I personally like Biomod with vanilla unfiltered textures/graphics or GMDX. I've been thinking about playing revision though. [link] [comments]
Deus Ex Setup Creator (Create installers for mods using the original Deus Ex / Unreal installer!) Posted: 05 Aug 2021 04:14 PM PDT Been pretty sick the past month so didn't get around to helping some people (Sorry ya'll!), and this was apparently a reference that coulda been useful. Meant to upload it when it was in a more polished state, but eh, screw it. Works. Just like the title says, this lets you create installers for Deus Ex mods using the original Deus Ex / Unreal installer used by the CD release and official updates. (Maybe works for other Unreal based games too?) Posted: 05 Aug 2021 04:24 PM PDT So I got a brand new laptop two weeks ago. Tried to play some Deus Ex GOTY Edition on Steam, but noticed in comparison to when I played it on my old (very old lol) laptop, it is VERY DARK. Will downloading the patch from Kentie.net fix that? Is it kinda like the Unofficial Patch for Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines? [link] [comments]
Walton Simons not appearing at Oceanlab? DX1 Posted: 05 Aug 2021 03:13 AM PDT So I'm playing through Deus Ex for probably the 7th or 8th time. Just did the OceanLabs and my guy was a complete no-show. He didn't kill himself on the rail tracks (because I didn't switch them on), he wasn't eaten by Karkians or Greasels because I sniped them before they even got out. Ran around looking for him for about 10 minutes before thinking maybe I had to come back to the level? It's been about 3 years since I last did a full run of DX1 so I felt it was possible. I've been doing this playthrough over the course of 4 months because I've been super busy with other things and I had a vague memory of killing him earlier in the game. I killed Navarre in the Lebedev mission (something i've never done before) and I've been trying to murder every important NPC (usually I play pretty pacifist). Anyway, obviously I haven't killed Simons because he's invincible up until OceanLabs. Just wondering if anyone else has had this strange bug. I've never seen it or heard anyone talk about it. Maybe I'm a complete moron and the game is programmed to skip the encounter if you do X, Y and Z. Be cool to hear what people say, cheers. [link] [comments] |
