Deus Ex: Revision Lower East Side Cemetery Question Posted: 04 Aug 2021 08:48 PM PDT I'm playing Deus Ex again for the first time in about 20 years and I picked up the Revision version. Anyway, I'm at the Lower East Side Cemetery level and I stumbled upon this crazy long corridor underneath the chapel. I don't remember it from the original and it doesn't seem to have a purpose, I found the cross you can spin to open up a secret door, but other than that, there's literally nothing down there of interest. Has anyone figured out if there's a point to that area? I already killed all of the MJ12 troops after destroying the jammer, maybe I should have gone down there before speaking to dowd? Any thoughts on this are appreciated [link] [comments]
Posted: 04 Aug 2021 07:37 PM PDT I couldn't find any guides that were relevant for this year or was having trouble making deus ex run smoothly. the game is extremely hard to play because of the obnoxious lag and I've already fallen in love with the style, environments and graphics and really want to beat the game. I bought deus ex game of the year edition from the year 2000 during a steam sale and I don't know what to download or what to modify for the game to be playable. any assistance would be appreciated. Question: Does the original Deus Ex punish you for playing lethaly? Posted: 04 Aug 2021 10:17 PM PDT I've already spent 30 hours in the game, always using non-lethal methods to do every mission, but sometimes it's too frustrating or I just think it would be more interesting to play some parts of the game lethaly, but I'm afraid it punishes you for that. I remember that some characters in the beggining of the game can talk about all the killing you did, but at the same time there are some sidequests that even if you do them non-lethaly, the game just goes as you killed someone. So, is there any problem to playing this way? [link] [comments]
I for some reason felt like the scope hurt Mankind Divided Posted: 04 Aug 2021 10:06 PM PDT I played DX:HR like 12 times But when I played Mankind Divided, the levels felt too long and I was tired just trying to get to end from endless stealth that was more of a chore(you can only learn and memorize so many enemy paths before it stopes being rewarding and gets tiring), the environment also had pipes and objects to jump off of that felt hard to stand out and just that they didn't belong there(like the mechanism of jumping off of them), The devs had previously said that one thing they wanted but couldn't do it with HR was high production value(I remember same character model faces appearing so so many times in HR - though I haven't seen others talk about/mention it) I loved the new art style(always loved the art style of this studio with Deus ex games) And the environment, the TF29 office ground floor is a testament of an environment this dev team can create(and I don't mean (just) technically but artistically - really), I also hated how you got used to taking previous augmentations for granted but then lose it all(the game does give you a chance) but I wish you'd just have them all all the time and new ones would build on top of them. Overall my main complain might be that the expanded scope brought in some thing that just were although elements of a bigger production value didn't feel like it belonged in the package or weren't colored/or deus ex-fied enough to fit in. (oh and I liked the more detailed ladies in the bar/strip club, yes, deal with it) Or maybe that's just me after straight up stanning HR [link] [comments]
Posted: 04 Aug 2021 02:48 AM PDT I was thinking it was both a shame and somewhat odd that we only visited this place once. This is one of the most amazing areas I've seen in basically any game. It has better cyberpunk vibes than cyberpunk and better post apocalyptic vibes than just about any post apocalyptic game I've ever played. The amount of detail in the level design and the way it plays with verticality is really amazing. Given that a big part of Deus Ex's level design is about recycling areas to encourage exploration it really does seem odd that we only briefly touch on this world when there seems so much more to discover here. What are your thoughts? [link] [comments]

Does the Mankind Divided season pass go on sale anymore? Posted: 04 Aug 2021 02:38 AM PDT If you look at the price history on PSprices it shows that last year and previous to that, every couple months or so it would go on a huge sale from $15 to $3, but now it hasn't gone on a single sale in a year Is the game just completely abandoned to the point they don't bother doing sales anymore? Really confused because I wanna play the dlc, but I'd rather not pay $15 if it's gonna have another sale any time soon [link] [comments] |
