I'm pretty sure it was Vlastas wife who is behind it all. There is possibly a way to get answers from the neon questline, Czarnabog (one of Blacks aliases) is in charge of the lab.

Tl;dr: How screwed is the Deus Ex franchise after the flop that is The Avengers?

So i just finished my second run of Mankind Divided and after seeing the end credits scene where the illuminati is having their usual discussion about things, i could see the possebility of a sequal but after hearing how hard "The Avengers" flopped i would on a occasion find comments about how that marked the end for Deus Ex as we know it.

I know that some companies like EA have have the bad rumor where they disolve of any studio that doesnt meet their expectations but have no clue if Square have done something similar.
