Surface-level, sure, it's a little more Sierra point-n-click adventure meets Baldur's Gate, but in its marrow, Disco Elysium is the closest thing to Deus Ex I've found: mini-open-hub level design with heaps of intricate exploration; a metric ton of diverse ways to level up your character into a talking, fighting, or thinking machine; constant fun ways to be either a straight arrow or a dick to other characters; it even fully executes on the promise of the conversation battles the two most recent Deus Ex games grasped at but didn't quite nail. The story also explores similar themes of economic disparity, class warfare, corruption within law enforcement and corporations, and so on—though the writing is sharper and more character-driven than any of the Deus Ex games.

Give it a try if you haven't.

    Morpheus

Is it just me, or is Morpheus one of the most interesting "characters" in the entire series?? Every time I play the original I look forward to speaking with Morpheus even though I pretty much have all of their dialogue memorized at this point;) I just think it's a super fascinating concept and was executed perfectly…especially the voice!

So I'm replaying DX1 with no music

I know, how much music really plays into the environment of the game. I've played enough to use sex on both platforms to know how much the music really enhances the game, but I wanted to experience it in a new light where there is no music, and just the world around you, and see how much it changes the mood of the game. My thesis is that it will make the world look a lot more dystopian. So far I'm in Hell's kitchen on the 1st visit. It's definitely an interesting way to go through the game

How many time have you beaten Deus Ex: Mankind Divided?

    Posted: 23 May 2021 01:44 PM PDT

About to start my 4th playthrough of the game, was wondering if there was any others out there in love enough to run multiple playthroughs, and if so, how did you change your playstyle in effort to mix things up?

Feels weird playing a 4th time when I've done/seen everything there is, so I'm looking for a more unique approach to playing it. Want to re-fall in love with this very short but beautiful game, any suggestions greatly appreciated!

I was thinking this time I'll go full non-lethal unless forced and pistol/tranq guns only.

    Anyone found more coats?

    Posted: 23 May 2021 10:03 AM PDT

I know this question gets asked a lot. But I'm really loving Jensen's coat in MD. Been looking around the web for it. I realize the limited edition is basically nowhere to get anymore. There seem to be some replicas around? I'm really not sure whats real or fake, a lot of these seem to be sourced out of Pakistan. Anyone got any experience with this? I need a new coat, would be nice to have a cool one.
