    Square Enix CEO: Your appointment to the board should be finalized within the week, I've already discussed the matter with the studio head.

    Square Enix bean counter: I take it he was agreeable?

    CEO: He didn't really have a choice.

    Bean counter: Has he been informed?

    CEO: Oh yes, most certainly. When I mentioned we could put a new Deus Ex game in the production pipeline he was so willing it was almost pathetic.

    Bean counter: This game -- the hype is intensifying to the point where we may not be able to contain it.

    CEO: Why contain it? Let it spill over to the forums and imageboards. Let the shitposts pile up in the feeds. In the end, they will beg us to release it.

    Bean counter: I've received reports of reviewbombing in our other games. There's not enough updates to go around, and the playerbase is starting to get desperate.

    CEO: Of course they're desperate. They can smell the servers being shut down, and the rants they'll make after uninstalling the game will serve as a warning to the rest.

    Bean counter: Hmm. I hope you're not underestimating the problem. The others may not go as quietly as you think. Intelligence indicates they're behind the problems in Marvel's Avengers.

    CEO: A bunch of pretentious Gamers™ playing at running video game companies, but the industry left them behind long ago. We are the future!

    Bean counter: We have other problems.

    CEO: Angry Tomb Raider fans?

    Bean counter: Formed after we were dissatisfied of Shadow's sales. I have anniversary celebrations in place though. I'm more concerned about Arkane. They relocated to Microsoft.

    CEO: Our microtransactions are far in advance of theirs, as is our multiplayer modes, and their... ethical inflexibility has allowed us to make profits in areas they refuse to consider.

    Bean counter: Outriders?

    CEO: Among other things, but I must admit that I've been somewhat disappointed with the reception of the demo.

    Bean counter: A day one patch should be online soon. It's currently undergoing preparation and will be operational within ten days. My people will continue to report on its progress. If necessary, we will just pull the plug.

    CEO: We've had to endure much, you and I, but soon cash will be flowing again. A new age! Kashue spoke of the mythical Forum on the Hill. Soon that forum will be a reality, and we will be crowned its kings. Or better than kings: Mods.

    afaik the developers said there will be another one but not now ( this was in 2017 ) lots of people speculated the game will arrive in 2020-2021 and nothing happened, will there ever be another Deus ex game, also do you think it will revolve around adam Jensen, i can't imagine the game without him tbh.
