for example going to versalife before you get the code, getting the sword from maggy chow before talking to gordon etc. i want to try in the interest of alternate dialogue but idk if it would break the game or something

I feel like even if Deus Ex returns it won't continue his story. Sadly Mankind Divided was not very popular so it wouldn't make sense to build on it (it left a lot of cliffhangers).

I mean it happens all the time with badly received games, look at ME Andromeda. They are dumping it and returning to the original setting.
