| Best beginner difficulty in DX:HR? Posted: 15 Jan 2021 06:29 PM PST I just finished the original Deus Ex and had a lot of fun on hard, however I tried to play HR in GMDX and it feels pretty hard for me. I had a similar difficulty curve in Deus Ex, wherein once i got to Hong Kong, it became really great for me and everything clicked. I'm just thinking if this is the right way to go since I heard that GMDX is "not that hard."? It also feels as if, in DX:HR, stealth is the best way to go especially in GMDX, which I have nothing against, but it does feel pretty different from the original. [link] [comments] |

| Gameplay mechanics issues with second playthrough using GMDX? Posted: 15 Jan 2021 08:10 AM PST I've just started my second playthrough, and using the latest (regular version, 9.0.3) of GMDX, I'm finding that some stuff that was present in my original playthrough is missing. Main thing I care about is the laser sight on the pistol being much easier to see and the regular crosshair disappearing when the laser sight is activated. Could I have installed a different mod that does this in my previous playthrough without knowing? It was a few years ago, so I'm not sure. I also have looked everywhere (GMDX settings, .ini file, typing 'preferences' ingame) and I can't find where I can enable/disable the GMDX additions like mantling. Any help would be much appreciated.
