    First Time Playing The Original Deus Ex

    Hey, so just a quik question for everyone: I've never played any of the Deus Ex games until now. I decided to just play the Deus Ex Revision since I liked the way it looked and the text and everything. I had heard that it changed maps around and stuff like that, changed things, etc, but I didn't really mind that since I had never played the original.

    So my question is this: do you think that I'm missing anything by not playing the original vanilla version first? I know Revision was made for people who had played it wanting to go back and experience it in a new way, but is it bad for a new player to play Revision without playing vanilla? Just curious if you think my experience of the game has been ruined or anything. I'm enjoying it greatly. After three days or so, I just finished mission six. Good stuff :)

    Need help getting past the bomb scene in the Train Station at the start of the game

    Just bought this game and really want to play it but I absolutely can't.

    The game crashes about 15 seconds after the bomb goes off, which appears to be just after loading the next set of scenes (progress triangle bottom right corner).

    I have tried anything I can think of, even read about many others having the same issue.

    • Verified integrity
    • Ran windowed
    • Removed my OC
    • Disabled subtitles
    • Tried to run that bink video while minimized
    • Tinkered with my graphics settings
    • Restarted my computer

    At this point I am just lost, having to go through several minutes of skipping cutscenes and that unskippable walk and talk in the station just frustrates beyond what I thought was possible. It's absurd that I cannot save during that walk even though it's a scene that is being rendered in real time. I always have to go back to the Dubai mission and disable the chopper.

    I've done this over 10 times already. Please help

    I launched Deus Ex and I can't get back to the launcher.

    I got the game through Steam and I went through the game launcher, picked my settings, and launched the game. It boots fine, but the main menu is glitchy and non-navigational. How do I get back to that menu, or do I do something else to fix my game?

    Deus Ex MD save problem

    So after 59 manual saves the game just stopped letting me save anymore for some reason. When I first encountered it an hour ago I didnt really care and kept going with quick saving, but when I decided to load just now I got brought back to Prague (im in Golem City now), so I basically lost an hour of progress and it seems like none of quick (or even automatic saves if there were any) registered.

    Anyone had a similiar problem? Im loving the game so far, but this annoyed me. :/

    edit: seems like i can still save in prague, i specifically cannot save in golem city for some reason

    Should I buy Mankind Divided ?

    Hey guys, so the Winter Sale has finally arrived, and I don't know whether I should buy Mankind Divided or not. I have played all of the previous titles (yes, including Invisible War and The Fall), with an unhealthy amount of replays on both Deus Ex (2001) and Human Revolution. Mankind Divided is the final game I need to complete my collection. What are your thoughts on the game ? Is it as good and replayable as Human Revolution ?

    Hi there everyone, I just purchased Human Revolution today on steam, I already played the game back in the day when it came out, but never the director's cut. Now, that I can finally run this game smootly with everything on high, I want to ask, Is there a way to set custom framecap via engine command, or file editing or something? I can either chose between VSync whitch is terrible, or running the game at 500 FPS haveing my card go full blast, loud fans, and, I don't need 500 FPS, I have a 60Hz monitor for god sake. I want to set the fps cap to around 120 FPS so my GPU can relax, while I'm not haveing any input lag.

    Is there any way to play GMDX with the original vanilla textures?

    I really like everything about GMDX and i have no problem with the HD textures but unfortunately my computer does. Loading screens are painfully long and take a lot away from my enjoyment of GMDX. I doubt this is a problem with GMDX itself, but a problem with my computer. I want all of the gameplay changes but not the graphical ones
