Otar never called in his favor (bugged?)

    Posted: 29 Dec 2020 07:28 PM PST

During SM04 i met with Otar and talked him into giving me the neuroplasticity calibrator in exchange for a favor down the line. Everything went smooth, took a few lootable items littered around his casino, but was spotted hacking a terminal so i reloaded a save from right before i attempted the hack, hacked it successfully this time, then i grabbed the calibrator and left. I checked with him before i left and he was non-hostile.

Fast forward to Golem City. I completed the 2 secondary missions and also talked to Louis (in order to get the most experience out of it).

Only after i finished up with Golem City did i realize Otar never once called in his favor. I completed the mission non lethally so i don't think anything i did while in the city affected it.

I'm back in Prague now and noticed Koller's store has burned down so i guessing I'm locked out of Otar's side mission :(

Does anyone know why this happened or if i did anything wrong? Is this a known bug?

P.S. I'm playing on the digital deluxe edition on PC with the current patch.

    Question?

    Posted: 29 Dec 2020 11:51 PM PST

I want to complete desperate measures and system rift DLC before finishing the main campaign, since the DLC is accessed through the main menu and not as a mission while in mankind divided free roam, does the Xp earned in the dlc carry over to the main campaign?

During the pandemic, lockdown etc., I sat down and drawn some pictures from both the DX Human Revolution and Mankind Divided. Have a look.

System Rift - Should I Buy?

    Posted: 29 Dec 2020 10:44 PM PST

    Hey, all!

Title, basically. I'd played Mankind Divided immediately after release, but never actually gotten A Criminal Past or System Rift, for one reason and another (hardware issues, mostly)...until now, that is, since I've just bought A Criminal Past, which I know I definitely want to play. But I can't really say the same for System Rift so far, especially since what I've heard involves plenty of Breach-oriented levels, which I honestly don't really care for; on the other hand, though, it's also the return of Pritchard, which I'd love to see.

So, is it really that Breach-heavy? If it is, are the non-Breach content still compelling enough to check out? The base game's Palisade Bank is fantastic, so is the one featured here anywhere close (in quality) to that, especially since it's the only level (CMIIW) in the DLC? And anything else you want to add about the DLC, I'd love to hear!

P.S. I'm playing on PC, and...I know, I know, it's dirt cheap on Steam right now, but money's pretty tight, and I'm currently weighing between this and another full-length game in a similar price range, haha. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

The Human Revolution ENB is amazing. It looks so good in motion, I recommend trying it!

What if in the next entry we do NOT play as Adam Jensen?

    Posted: 29 Dec 2020 11:31 AM PST

So, the next game will probably be a bit after MD, let's say in 2031, 20 years before the first game. I think it's time to see up close other major players of the original game.

What about the NSF? Checking the Wiki, the super earthquake that destroyed the West Coast played a part in their conception, so there's ample space for scenarios there. Plus... great way to get political with the real world...

Or what about the Knights Templar? Their lore, prior to Invisible War, seems to be thin, but I think it would make sense to be an augmented super hero if you're a badass straight from a conspiracy. Also, according to the Wiki, they were destroyed by MJ12. Pesky Manderley could come back yet again!

Hey, don't get me wrong, Mr Jensen is one of my favourite protagonists in gaming, but surely, the franchise can't turn into one continuous circlejerk. There's a lot to explore.
