Anyone else feel like the UI in Mankind Divided is superior and more aesthetic than Cyberpunk 2077? Posted: 30 Dec 2020 07:20 PM PST Honestly I can't put my finger on what it is, Cyberpunk is pretty, and I do like it a lot, but I can't help but feeling the UI or overall design is somewhat... outdated? I'm not really sure how to describe it. IMO Mankind Divided had such a fluid and intuitive system that it still looks better aesthetically and functionally than Cyberpunk. What do you guys think? Am I looking at things through rose colored glasses? [link] [comments]

Advice for combat run in DE:MD? Posted: 30 Dec 2020 07:33 PM PST I'm about 70% (counting DLC) of my way through a largely non-lethal stealth hacker run in Mankind Divided; my first time playing it. For my second run I'm going with a dumb action hero build where my solution to everything is to just shoot it. Any advice? Gun builds? Praxis choices? Etc. [link] [comments]

Posted: 30 Dec 2020 11:40 PM PST Can NPCs die from falling from heights? I've been non-lethaly taking down NPCs and tossing them from my apartment on the third floor but when I check them after landing on the ground they are still alive, showing the "Zzz" sleeping icon. [link] [comments]
Is it possible to access the text files of the games in order to translate them? Posted: 30 Dec 2020 05:52 PM PST I was thinking if it was possible to translate the game just for fun and see how the system works but since I have 0 knowledge of how Unreal Engine 1 works I'm not so sure [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Dec 2020 06:35 PM PST Hi, I am playing DX:HR for the first time and I want to know which ending is the best. Display the whole truth Take out content about the biochip and blame the Humanity Front Take out any reference to the Illuminati and add content about Neuropozyne poisoning Destroy Panchaea Now I know that Destroying Panchaea is the canon ending but I still want to know which ending the best. Posted: 30 Dec 2020 07:11 AM PST Well this is internet so I have to start this with ''This is just my opinion not an insult to you because you love the game and you don't need to insult me to protect your opinion.'' by the way this is also a rant because I am realy disappointed with the game. Also sorry for my bad english. I finished DE1 around 20 hours and I love every bit of it: The story, how you can see plot points before they were shown to you just by exploring and sometimes even evading them completly, open ended level design, all the flavor texts, voice acting, characters, even those wonky ass shooting mechanics, etc... Now human memory isn't perfect so I am just going to talk about it like I know everything but I probably remember nothing. Bad level designI start the first mission and its 2-3 big boxes connected by a corridor with tables at the midle 1-2 loot filled rooms at sides. Ok maybe they are meticulously designed to have huge amounts of ways to go from A to B... ITS NOT ; do you want to fight, ghost, hack or use vent with very limited ways to aproach every method. Fine its first mission 2nd one surely going to be a lot better. I arrive at 2nd mission and... its a giant fucking room with walls and ramps as cover with catwalk on top and I have same methods to get from A to B. Sometimes there is punch wall option but 1 its boring 2 its USELESS, I got it very early used it on every wall I found but I rarely get to a place I can get only by using it and FOR FUCK SAKE OFTEN IT EVEN LEADS TO A ROOM WITH AN UNLOCKED DOOR. I gave up on game after 2nd boss fight so I don't know if it gets better. And goddamn can I just say fuck boss fights and their arena. Of course their arena is a box with some covers (I know unexpected). DE1 wasnt good at them either but at least I was invested in them unlike this game's bad_dude_number1 or bad_gal_number1 also DE1's boss fights aren't even mandatory you can skip them, avoid or rarely kill them instanlty because you found something previously unlike HR bosses that make me go ''FFS please die so I can continue playing hacking mini games.''. AugmentsIn DE1 I had to choose and every choice made me think for minutes. In HR I can get upgrade points so frequently I don't have to realy choose and when it comes to choosing there is not much to choose, when it comes to combat no matter what I get I will still be squishy, when it comes to stealth its so easy to ghost everybody or shooting them in the head with a silencer then changing position to do it again why would I ever choose a solution to a non-existing problem. Also hacking just does everything, do you want to kill? hack a turret! do you want to go unnoticed? Hack doors and cameras!Rest of the upgrade path is just boring passive upgrades. Imagine making a game in a genre that focuses on player decision but it doesn't fucking matter. Story is... good but its not a saving grace imo. I hope MD is a what I imagine a modern DE should be if not I guess my journey ends with DE1. There is a lot to talk about this game but I am not a game reviewer so I am just going to leave it at 2 biggest flaws imo. [link] [comments]
