    PSA: The Deus Ex series regularly goes on extreme discounts on GOG.

    I (re)bought all the games just a few weeks ago at an 85% discount, and checked again only to find the entire series* back on sale.

    *(unless you count the fall. but nobody counts the fall.)

    If you don't have all the games or DLC, now's your chance. If you're trying to get a friend to play these games, the series regularly drops to about $11 in total, so you have plenty of opportunities to get them into it.

    Maybe if more people show interest in this amazing series, we might get that final entry we were promised 4 years ago, but that's just me being optimistic.

    Either way, this is still the best and cheapest way to play this incredible series; Free of the awful online components of MD, and the dated system requirements of the original. Jump on it if you haven't already.

    White House Mission

    Does anyone have any info on the actual details of the white house mission that was cut from DX1? Like the point of the level, the level design, etc. Anything in the shipped game files that was hidden?

    Imagine if JC gets to the white house to find the president has the virus and is being compromised by the group with the vaccine. Literally could make a storyline out of that with what's going on in the US today....

    Problems with Kentie and GMDX on D3D10

    I have the Steam GOTY version of Deus Ex and the Kentie Launcher that came with the GMDX mod. I can run the game just fine, but for some inexplicable reason I get stuttering and frame rate drops whenever I'm using the D3D10 renderer. It doesn't matter what resolution I use, the problem still persists. Can anyone tell a guy what to do?

    11 Frames Per Second at HD on my Nvidia 1080.

    SOLVED!!!

    Deus Ex Mankind Divided v.1.19 runs terribly on my PC, averaging 11 FPS on the benchmark.

    Here are the basic specs of my PC:

    7th gen i7 7700hq. 16gb ddr4 memory. Nvidea 1080 8gb vram. Samsung 970 evo SSD.

    That is well above the recommended specifications. Furthermore I have MSAA and all shadow effects turned off. I have the latest in Nvidia graphic drivers. My PC is able to run much more modern games in 4k at ultimate settings with no problems. But Deus Ex Mankind Dividied is unplayable.

    What am I doing wrong and why is the game so unplayable?

    SOLUTION: I follow the steps everyone here suggested. I also followed some guides on YouTube. In the Nvidia control panel I forced my graphics card to always use Advanced 3D Graphics settings and always depend on the Nvidia GPU rather than letting the program decide. Also within the Nvidia control panel I selected Deus Ex and always ran through the GPU and not dependent on the program itself to select the GPU.

    Then in Deus Ex I made sure to start the game only using Direct x 11 and not DirectX 12.

    Now the game runs perfectly smooth at 4K with all the graphics settings at Ultra.

    Can anyone help me inject SMAA in Deus Ex : Mankind Divided? ( SweetFX or Reshade )

    I am a total newbie when it comes to Sweetfx. I can't afford MSAA and I can't stand TAA. But the SMAA injection is confusing me.

    I'd be really grateful to whoever helps me out. ( I have the steam version BTW )

    I could really do with a half arsed "remaster" of Deus Ex

    Don't get me wrong, I love the original and I would love a full remake but I wish I could play the original to it's fullest glory.

    I've played it a couple times now and it's one of my favourite games if not my favourite. I have one issue though. I've never found a flawless renderer for my playthroughs. All you modders out there do fantastic work and I thank you but I just wish I could get it running how I want.

    Direct3d 10 is an amazing fix but it gives me fps issues and some graphical glitches. OpenGL is good but I get a weird non fps stutter. Software rendering takes away the detailed textures. And we all know how dark original direct3d is (although other than the darkness it seems to have the least issues). I love this game but I just wish I could play it without weird visual issues. I was late to the party so I do have the luxury of playing in 1080p and high fps but still, I'd just love if it had the modern compatibility of Half Life. Hopefully square enix patch up the Steam version or GOG version sometime.

    Sorry this post doesn't really bring anything to the table, I just wanted to vent about a game I love having problems that I'm sure square enix could patch up in a weekend.

    DX1 - Movie/Series Discussion

    If there was to be a movie adaptation or Netflix series or something of the like. Which plot points and side quest/conversations would you guys say would be critical to keep in order to give a true the "Deus Ex feel"?

    Cranium implant capabilities

    I was wondering what are the capabilities of Jensen's Cranium implants are. from what I understand he has 3 implants on his brain.

    The social enhancer, MHD-995 Hacking Device and the Infolink Augs. Now we've seen these in action. And know what they do. But the social enhancer is a powerful computer essentially, and we've seen that Jensen has a code database. so I'm wondering if the implant gives him other enhancements too like mass information retention or picture memory. Or something like that.
