    Killing Gunther

    This is my first Deus Ex (1) playthrough. I was having a hard time fighting Gunther in the cathedral (I don't have his killphrase) until...

    Immediately upon entering the room where he's waiting, but before walking down the stairs and triggering the dialog, I banked a LAM off a column next to where he stands.

    I couldn't see him from where I stood, but I heard the CLANG CLANG CLANK of his augmented body splattering. Boss battle complete!

    I felt pretty cheesy but I got a good laugh. I'm sure it's been discussed here already (I'm 20 years late to the party) but it's another example of what makes this game great.

    I got the bad ending of MD on release, did doing this trigger it?

    I vaguely recall walking along with some guards, and later may have been a boss battle. Got bad ending. Looked at the walkthrough on youtube, guy attacked the guards when they tried to check in at convention centre security. Is this how I failed, or was there a timer on how long I had to beat the mission?
