Mankin Divided save corruption. Why? Am I really the only one? Posted: 05 Jul 2021 06:50 PM PDT It happened again. This time I won't even delve into a rant, I'd just like to understand how, why, if and how many people suffered from it and if anyone knows a way to stop it. This time, about halfway into the game, just after finishing Vince Black's mission. I have, in my entire life, never seen anything like this. The game that just refuses to autosave after 2 very important main missions (Entering the NSN and the entirety of Vince Black's), and that randomly corrupts quicksaves (which I make religiously almost). What can I do? I've disable Steam Cloud saving, thinkign it was the issue, but not deal. Is this just simply a shit game? [link] [comments]
What additional Hub Area would you have introduced? Posted: 05 Jul 2021 02:59 AM PDT Having a bit of fun here from another post but I really enjoyed Paris and Hong Kong so much in the original Deus Ex I was wondering if you had a time machine and could influence development on the DX timeline what other hub area would you have added to the game if any? I figured this would be a great topic of conversation to get peoples imaginations going. Personally I'd have liked to have seen a hub area after the Ocean Lab but I realise by that point the stakes are high and you have to get moving to stop the missile launch against X51. As for where I'd liked to have seen JC go? I'd like to have seen London or maybe Russia or Eastern Europe. Anyone here have any good ideas? [link] [comments]

Headaches and dizziness when coming back to play DX1? Posted: 05 Jul 2021 04:56 AM PDT I just finished two recreational New Game+ run-throughs of DXMD, one where I shot every single person standing in my way with nanoblade projectiles, and another where I just ran right through, invisible throughout. Quite fun, so I thought, let's have a go at DX1, give myself a fully loaded sniper and GEP gun right from the start, and have a blast. That's when I started getting severe dizziness and vertigo at everything inside DX1. Right there even before climbing the liberty island steps. But HR and MD have never given me headaches. Then I started to wonder, what is it that makes the newer games like HR and MD so easy on the eyes. Is it just because the environments are so photo realistic, that our brains can accept it as a valid form of the real world? ... while the blocky environments in DX1 are too fake? (I'm playing vanilla) Or is it something about the engine and how it does some secret calculations behind the scenes? What are your experiences with this so far? Oh and I guess someone's going to reinstall DX1 again cos I've mentioned it 😂 [link] [comments] |
