Posted: 18 Jan 2021 04:25 PM PST OMG... An amazing game. I'm nearing the end but I already miss this games story. It's just amazing. This is my first Deus Ex game but it's also one of my favourite games ever. I'm playing on XOX, there are few bugs and crashes but nothing too bad. [link] [comments]

First Time Deus Ex 1, Need Advice On Making Game More Fun! Posted: 18 Jan 2021 08:40 PM PST Hi all, This games seems like it has a fascinating story that has hooked me and I really want to finish. However playing the game is really just feeling like a chore. I don't mind the clunky graphics, but the gameplay itself is just turning into save scumming while sneaking around, waiting for reticles to aim in, and just disliking both the stealth and combat in general. To such an extent that I feel like I might just be playing the game wrong. I just completed escaping from UNATCO after transmitting Paul's data to Hong Kong. Hoping I'm a significant part of the way through the game. Anyways I don't really understand the augmentation part of the game and doubt it's what's preventing the fun factor. I already have it on the easiest setting, and yet getting in shootouts with tougher enemies still is just trial and error until I survive. Any tips? Or mods that make the combat more fun? Thanks! Deus Ex 1 Modding help/suggestions Posted: 18 Jan 2021 09:51 AM PST So I'm wanting to work on some Deus Ex modding. Nothing spectacular, just editing some textures. No need to create levels or new characters or anything like that. I can extract the textures easily, but I'm having problems figuring out how to put everything back in. Right now, the only tools to create the texture packages seem to be command-line. I can figure it out if I have to, but I'm hoping to save myself some time and effort. My full questions are: 1) Is there a GUI program to help me make texture packs that works with Windows 10? [link] [comments]
New to Deus Ex Gmdx directx 10 lag (gmdx or revision?) Posted: 18 Jan 2021 09:01 AM PST As the title states im new to deus ex im currently trying Gmdx v9 (should i use Gmdx v10?) and when i use direct 3D 10 i get immense lag at the start of the level when looking at the roofed area. Im fine with playing with direct 9 which gives no lag but ive heard that plenty of people can get it to work fine and im fairly shure i have a high end pc (i7-8700 and rtx 2070) so im just wondering if im doing something wrong. (is the Nvidia issue with directx 10 still a problem for this game?) what mod should i be using i hear a lot of people praise gmdx over revelations but ive also heard a smaller minority praising revelations over gmdx, should i be using gmdx v9 or v10??? (also heard of something called vRSD?) any tips in general would be great (no i don't want to play vanilla) (sorry for any spelling mistakes and bad formatting im lazy..) [link] [comments] |
