| Does the dev commentary in HRDC "pause" the game in any way? Posted: 22 Sep 2020 01:21 PM PDT Hey everyone! I just finished playing through the original Deus Ex, and now im on a second playthrough of HR with dev commentary on. I noticed that some of the dev commentaries are long though, so its making me nervous that I'll mess something up in the game because I didnt go fast enough. An example of this would be at the beginning of the game. For those who didn't know, if you mess around in Sarif Headquarters for too long, the hostages will be killed by the time you finally get there. Will the dev commentary "pause" stuff like this so you can listen to them without having to worry about time constraints, kinda like how the dev commentary in the Half life games will freeze NPS's in place so you dont miss anything? I REALLY wanna listen to these commentaries because they're so fascinating (and sorta depressing considering the stuff they had to cut), but im almost compelled to skip past them if the hostages end up being killed because Adam was to busy listening to the voices in his head talk about Final Fantasy posters and cut content lmao.
