Is the original Deus Ex game worth getting? Posted: 15 Sep 2020 12:24 PM PDT I'm skeptical of getting it because even the people who like it criticize the game heavily (basic stealth, poor gunplay, useless weapons (like the crossbow). Is there something I'm missing? [link] [comments]
So... will Human Revolution be remastered? Posted: 15 Sep 2020 12:08 PM PDT I played Human Revolution on a PS3 years ago and I'd really like to experience it again... only issue is I dont have a working PS3 anymore and only use my PS4... are there any rumblings in the community of a remaster or are the only ways to play it via backwards compatibility on Xbox or PC? Mankind divided, do I have to finish all of Prague before leaving? Posted: 15 Sep 2020 08:59 AM PDT Basically the title. I've been blown away by how much there is to explore and do just in this first area to the extent it's feeling a bit unbalanced with regard to the main story line, and it suddenly occurred to me that might be because I'll be coming back and the side stuff will still be here to do later. I think I've pretty much done everything though by now, I'm just in the bank trying to do everything in there. Can I carry on with the main storyline and comeback to this? [link] [comments]

Do people play original Deus Ex as Doom clone? Posted: 15 Sep 2020 07:03 AM PDT I've seen people say that Deus Ex is just as fun in 2020 as it would've been at the time it came out. Well, the stealth is so janky and unsatisfying that it's an exercise of frustation. I lost count of how many times I've had to reload the game because the baton didn't work or the crossbow let me down again. The game just doesn't have reliable tools to let you know where the enemies are(and let's not turn this into a discussion about casuals. Sure, it's realistic to not have a radar or smart vision, but realistic isn't fun. Stumbling upon an enemy you had no way of knowing was there and looking at your direction is only funny the first time). Besides, even the game seems to have thought that you would abandon stealth, because you don't get any killswitches for the second and third boss. And I mean, the game is fun, but it feels like it only had the plot and funny voice acting going for me. Even then, I felt the game falls apart a little near the end and while the monotone snarky voice acting is funny, it takes away from the seriousness of the situation. Not to mention the lack of final confrontation of any kind, replaced with faceless infinite greys and the fact that developers clearly considered only one ending canon. The game is great and I liked it overall, but "just as good in 2020"? Nah. I'm ready for downvotes. [link] [comments] |
