I'm playing the game and I'm at the part where koller calls to tell you that he can put in the calibrator but when I go he isn't there

    Is Deus Ex Franchise Underrated?

    Posted: 14 Sep 2020 06:01 AM PDT

So yesterday I can finally say I finished all the Deus ex Games release to date and I can confidently say these were one of the best games I have ever played.
I started playing the series there month ago after getting all the games on a cheap on steam and I don't regret it for one bit.
I loved the freedom of gameplay of the first Deus ex and the themes of its story. while clanky a bit for a 20-year-old game of course but it was a lovely experience.
The second game wasn't the best but it was a good game but the Human REviloution and Mankind Divide where brilliant. My favourite is Human Revolution. Adam Jensen I a great character and the story and how it unfolded was wonderful. Mankind Dvivde had its flaws in terms of the story but I really enjoyed the world and the Gameplay was exceptional.
But I can't stop thinking how on earth this series doesn't get the credit it deserves I think it's so underrated and I have experienced one other best cyberpunk worlds in any medium.
    Do you agree?

    Inpiration for Deus Ex

    Posted: 14 Sep 2020 04:26 AM PDT

    Hi,

    Glad I discovered this sub.

Please can someone suggest the books and movies which Deus Ex makers took inspirations from. Perhaps there is some interview in some obscure corner of the internet where Warren Spector or maybe someone else some the deus ex team is listing out 4-5 key works the game drew inspiration from.

I'm not looking for general conspiracy theories, secret societies books but specifically those which Deus Ex team used as their base.

PS: Not a very seasoned reddit user (for forgive me if I don't know/use flairs properly).

    Thx.
