    I just experienced a very frustrating ending to DXMD - A Criminal Past. It was my first playthrough of the DLC and thus didn't know the ending. I'll continue the rest of my story as spoiler for obvious reasons...

    So I'm at the landing pad with Guerrero and The Fixer and Guerrero becomes hostile. I ran around the corner into this storage area to gather myself and prepare for the fight but I didn't realize that Guerrero was going to kill The Fixer. I made a Quicksave in the save spot of the storage area but this was like 1 or 2 seconds before Guerrero kills The Fixer. Of course I wanted to save The Fixer so I needed at least 75 reloads to take down (not kill) Guerrero _before_ he was able to kill The Fixer. Unfortunately my previous Auto Saves were gone... Overwritten by failed attempts I made where I took out Guerrero but realized too late that The Fixer was killed.

    It was sooo frustrating to try again and again... On each attempt after 2 seconds realizing that I already failed (The Fixer was dead) and had to spend about 10 seconds per loading screen. I can't stand that loading music anymore!

    Anyway, at last I got the ending I wanted :) Great DLC by the way. I decided to go for the non-aug approach. It was quite challenging on Deus Ex mode but it was fun!

    Technical Issues Streaming Deus Ex: Invisible war

    This is a super, super niche question, but I wasn't sure where else to find solutions.

    Through quarantine, my friends and I have been streaming playthroughs of the Deus Ex series on a private discord server. We've so far done the original and DX:MD with no issues.

    However, as you all know, the PC version of DX:IW "crashes" at every loading screen, since it dumps it's memory. After an experiment, I have discovered this makes streaming it difficult. If you stream the application window itself via discord, the stream disconnects after every "crash". If you stream just your screen, it has no sound.

    Obviously, not ideal.

    I'm guessing there'd be two vague categories of "solutions", neither of which I am sure how to approach.

    1: Find a way to patch the game so that it doesn't "crash" at loading screens. The game has been around for nearly 20 years, I would not be shocked if someone has done this.

    2: Find a way to stream the game through some third-party application instead of just streaming the game application itself...like recording the window via OBS, and somehow sending the output to discord.

    Obviously, I am wildly out of my depth. I have until we finish DX:HR and DX: The Fall to figure this out, so a few weeks.

    This a weird, niche issue, but does anyone have any idea on how to approach this problem?

    So I am doing my second NG+ of a mass-murdering maniac in DX: MD. I typically do 3 playthroughs: pacifist (my "main" play-through), foxiest (because doing a full game somehow always screws up foxy), and mass-murdering jerk. The third route is basically the polar opposite of the first Pacifist playthrough: trigger as many alarms, kill as many enemies, do every quest in the non-pacifist way, etc. MD was always crashing a fair amount when switching zones, but since I am doing this run-through, it's gotten nearly impossible to travel between the two main parts of the city - it takes me 2-4 loads to successfully transition. I suspect it has something to do with the number of unique entities it has to deal with - in this case it's all the bodies and weapons strewn about.

    That in mind, is there a fix for the crashes? I've looked some folks' solutions up, and the main one seems to be Virtual Memory. I took mine off Auto, and moved it way higher to 32GB (I have 16GB physical). So now it doesn't go over 90%, but the game still crashes. Is there something else to be done?

    Adam's Apartment...Mankind Divided

    Long time fan of the series, since the first game. Human Revolution DC is still a game I will play randomly, it's one of my personal favorites of all time.

    So let's talk about Adam's Apartment and the difference between HR and MD.

    Just got the game on GOG recently and have been making my way through. I avoided all things spoilers outside of the initial reviews. So far, I was enjoying it. Then I returned from Prague and discovered one of the most heart wrenching experiences ever in my years of gaming. All my stash items were gone. That was a dick move by the devs and something I wish I had known going into the game. It was a part of HR I learned to do so I guess it's my fault that I ASSumed it would be the same here.

    Whelp...sucks for me I guess. I could go back to a save game prior to leaving for Prague but what's the point. I'll certainly won't forget this is I do another playthrough.

    I adventured around too much in the beginning and killed some important characters, what am i gonna miss out on? feel free to spoil it for me

    In the very beginning i got too exited with adventuring around and went into the sewers and found some cool shit. first i found a mentally defective man who told me about a cult and its leader. I wound up stealthily killing him as i couldnt seem to create some dialogue with him even after multiple quick save reloads.

    Next i found a dvali hideout club place with otar in it. i thought nothing of it and wound up systematically killing everyone in there. i found out it was him when i looted him and got "otars revolver"

    and lastly when i went into the red light district and snuck into the theater i killed a dude in a little room with 2 women. he must have been important because i remember him having a name. he was right by where theres a security door with a camera watching it that you could turn off.

    I really dont want to start over at least not yet but i would really like to know what i just missed out on because from playing the game i've noticed anyone with a unique name has some kind of interation and dialogue.

    Taking out a B3-Peacebringer in GMDX [DX1]

    I'm currently walled in Hell's Kitchen, during the segment where JC turns on UNATCO.

    Paul has ordered me to enter the subway, and I have the code - but there are far too many troops to sneak through.

    I sat on top of the apartment building for a while and sniped out all the offending troops, but there is still a UNATCO security bot present. The Deus Ex wiki I checked lists it as a Bravo-3 Peacebringer.

    I'm out of LAMs and EMP grenades, and I've unsuccessfully tried to sneak past it.

    So, can I take this thing down somehow?

    The game abruptly shuts down while loading

    I've played a couple of minutes into the criminal past DLC and all of sudden the game refuses to load. In my documents, in the log file, there is "Unhandled exception at address 0x000000009dfec4e3 (code: 0xc0000005): "Access violation" ".

    Anybody else face this problem?
