- 59/59 achievements in Human Revolution, at exactly 100 hours - very proud of myself
- Just finished Human Revolution and I loved it!
- Pickle Denton
- How did this video get 1 mil views out of thin air? What is causing this surge in popularity?
- My DRM free of Deus ex collection is almost finished
- Deus ex Go is free on Google Play!
- Square Enix is in Summer Game Fest
- Human revolution - Directors cut or normal?
- Any good online playthroughs of Deus Ex (2000) that focus on the story? I tried playing through it multiple times but the gameplay is too dated for my taste (even with mods)
- not just that Deus Ex is on GoG, but there is huge sale of all Deus Ex games (85%)
- Finally! Deus Ex mankind divided is at a suitable price!

Just finished Human Revolution and I loved it! Posted: 02 May 2020 03:59 AM PDT I had never played a game like that before, as I mainly play Football Manager 2019, but the mix of FPS, stealth, puzzles and story was amazing. I especially loved the augmentations possibilities, my favorite being the Icarus landing system. I was kinda lost in the missing link dlc though, because it felt very weird to be reset to factory zero in the middle of the game and to find myself without weapons. Overall a great game, I think I'll try mankind divided after a few replays of HR. [link] [comments]

Human revolution - Directors cut or normal? Posted: 01 May 2020 04:45 PM PDT I bought normal on steam before the directors cut came out. Im just now getting around to playing it. Should I spring the $20 for the directors cut or play the game without the DLC? Will I miss much if I skip the DLC? [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 May 2020 04:40 AM PDT Loved HR, MD not as much, but I still wanted to see the original, however I could never get into it. Hopefully somebody found a good playthrough. [link] [comments]

Romance options in next Deus Ex installment? Posted: 01 May 2020 02:55 AM PDT Okay, I'm pretty sure all of you don't feel the need of this, but let me tell you something: sex sells. Mankind Divided should have brought the series in the wide public, but all it actually did was confirming its niché status. How romance options would change the thing, will you ask. I'll start with an example. Mass Effect is one of the best space sci-fi universes out there. By far the best created in the past twenty years. Interesting lore, good esthetics, excellent writing. As you all know, it has a HUGE fandom. But the point is: half of the community don't give a damn about the sci-fi setting, the story and the lore. They play them like dating simulators. People who aren't attracted by sci-fi wouldn't have bought the games if it weren't for romance options. Sex sells. Deus Ex could have been the landmark of Cyberpunk, at least in gaming area. It has the esthetics, original elements, good writing and a charismatic main hero (just like Sheppard). But it failed to involve casuals. Cyberpunk 2077 (which I'm really skeptical about, mostly because it looks very generic, "already seen" cyberpunk) managed to involve casuals already. And it will attract more, not least thanks to romance options. To those who think we don't need casuals in our community: well, technically we don't need them, but we need their money if we want the next games to have AAA budget. Romance options create ships, ships create discussions, fanarts, and yes, ship wars. Long story short, they create community activity. And community activity usually means good sales too. But of course we don't want it to be just petty fan service. So I imagined how could it be realized in a way that would matter to the story. If the next game in the series will be a sequel to MD, i thought it would be nice if the different love interests were related to different paths the player can choose in the story. Something like this: FARIDAH MALIK - Sarif loyalty path A path where Jensen reeastablish ties with his old team, with Sarif himself, Pritchard, and yeah, our girl Malik. MEGAN REED - Neutral path She works for page in Mankind Divided, but generally she comes out as the most neutral character, ideologically speaking. She cares only about research, and that's all. DELARA AUZENNE - Illuminati loyalty path Wrong path, but Delara is hot.
There can be other options, like TF29 loyalty path, or some strange thing with Eliza, but the concept is clear I guess. Each path could unlock specific augs, so to encourage replayability. What do you think about this? Would romance options be a good add to the series? Or would it be just a cheap commercial move? Anyway, thanks for reading through the ravings of my bored by quarantine brain. [link] [comments] |
