Has there been another game like Deus Ex 1 that made you more conscious of the state of the world? Posted: 16 Apr 2020 05:08 PM PDT I first played Deus Ex 1 in late 2017, when I was a wee freshman in college. It made a significant impact on my life in a way no other game I've played has had: it made me more conscientious of the state of the world. It made me realize that those in power are not to be trusted. How corporations have much, much more influence than just selling consumer products, and how they virtually control the world behind a curtain of shadows. It's an important game to me, especially since, growing up, I never really took attention to contemporary world affairs. I lived in a small rural town, didn't have many friends, and all I basically did was play video games. Deus Ex one opened my eyes to all of those issues mentioned above, and it's something I still cherish. Which made me wonder: has anyone else have an experience like this in a video game? Posted: 16 Apr 2020 06:59 PM PDT Hey, so I've had an idea for a while about creating a massive multiplayer game in Deus Ex 1 with the people in this subreddit, but I don't know how any of this works. I tried to play with my friend but he said he needed an IP address (I'm guessing mine), but that's kind of an outdated and dangerous feature, so I was wondering if there were easier and more secure ways of loading a DX1 multiplayer game with random people. New to the series. Question about story Posted: 16 Apr 2020 05:47 AM PDT Hello, a newbie question: I haven't played any Deus Ex games and I don't know the story at all, except for something about the Statue of Liberty (lucky me, huh). I want to dive right into the world of Deus Ex, but I love perceiving the story in chronological order, not in order they were released, whether it's GTA or Star Wars or Halo.

3900x, 2060 RTX, can I play 4k MD? Posted: 16 Apr 2020 05:27 AM PDT I loved the original Deus Ex, my favourite game of all time, must have played it 50 times. Now I'm old, I played Invisible war on the Xbox 360, thinking about buying this seeing as I just put together a new PC for work. For some weird reason I hate playing games that change the resolution on my monitor down, the click and flickering just bugs me as it swaps back and forwards. Wondering if anybody had any experience with this combo recently, all the benchmarks I see are years old. I'm fine with anything >30 fps, I love deus more the story than the gameplay.
