Mechanical Augmentations vs Nanotechnological Augmentations Posted: 01 Jan 2021 04:15 PM PST Been playing Cyberpunk 2077 for a while now and am planning on getting back into Deus Ex HR and MD soon and it reignited this little debate in my mine. Which of these 2 Aug types do you all think is better? I'll give my case first; I think Mechanical Augmentation is overall better. Mech Augs cover many abilities that Nano Augs do, such as improved vision, correcting defective organs, improving stamina and overall health, strength, speed, invisibility, ect. ect. and so on and so forth. and and while at first that makes Nano Augs seem better because all you need is an injection where as Mech Augs require invasive surgeries and lengthy recovery periods. And for the average person Nanites are probably the best option. But Mech Augs can do some of these things so much better and something Nano Augs probably never could. Strength Augments for example. Nano Augs increase your strength presumable by infusing your muscle fibers with nanites and reinforcing them, giving them greater tensile strength, power, reaction time, and resilience. I imagine it would work much like how Strength/Power modes works in the Crysis series Nanosuit. Mechanical Strength Augs however completely replace these muscle groups or the entire limb with metal and machinery with much greater resilience and power than organic muscle fibers could ever achieve without extreme amounts of growth. The only draw back is that Mech Augs only improve sections of the body instead of the whole thing at once. It's why Jensen needs a reinforced metal bar and scaffolding throughout his body so his robotic arms don't pop out of their sockets when he lifts of fridge or something. Let's also look at the military applications for both. Nano Augs for the average solider would be better because again, quick, easy, painless, generally improves everything at once. But for elite soldiers? Mech Augs again. Unlike Nano Augs, Mechanical limbs can also conceal various weapons and tools. As seen in Human Revolution and Mankind Divided they can transform into guns, fire homing taser darts, deploy hidden blades, fire hidden blades, fire EXPLOSIVE hidden blades, concussive P.E.P.S blasts, the Typhoon system, remote hacking, the Icarus Landing System, dermal armor, and the Titan shielding system. All things Nano Augs are not capable of doing as far as we've seen. So in short: Nanotechnological Augmentations are better for the general public because of their ease of use and fast to non-existent recovery period. Mechanical Augmentations are better for jobs that require even higher performance needs. Me personally? I'd take both. Get Mech Augs about as extensive as Adam Jensen's and then get an injection of Nanites, or vice versa. Thereby covering gaining the strengths of both and the weaknesses of neither. But if I had to pick one I'd go Mech Augs [link] [comments]

Posted: 01 Jan 2021 09:29 AM PST So, I played the original and Invisible War years ago on the PC, and I was looking for budget RPGs on the PS4. Just finished Skyrim, beat RDR2, and The Witcher 3. Found it on Amazon for 10 bucks. I haven't thought about the series in years, but when I saw Mankind Divided I immediately had flashbacks and remembered loving the atmosphere of the games, the music, the plot, and the stealth elements. Hoping the game captures some of that. I've heard that the story ends pretty abruptly, so I'm anticipating buying the DLC. Are they worth it? Any tips for my first time playthrough? Posted: 01 Jan 2021 10:02 PM PST I recently started playing human revolution and its amazing. While playing it I noticed that the vents are overpowered cause enemies don't know how to get in them and I ended up cheesing the first boss fight. What I'm wondering is if the vents in mankind divided are just as overpowered? [link] [comments]

Deus Ex Mankind Divided too easy to get rich Posted: 01 Jan 2021 06:32 AM PST I've been really enjoying the game but it feels way too easy to get strong in this game. I haven't got too far in, I'm at the part where Jensen comes back from the Talos Rucker mission and already I've got about 20,000 credits, 15 praxis, hacking fully upgraded, most of the augmentations I want and fully upgraded weapons. The story is good and gameplay feels challenging but I don't really know what to look forward to now because I've pretty much got everything there is to get. [link] [comments]
Any idea how to make Deus Ex Invisible War playable? Posted: 01 Jan 2021 03:53 PM PST Just bought the game on Steam and I would really love to finish it. However the gamma and brightness keeps changing after each loading screen randomly. Sometimes so dark that you can't see anything without the augmentation and other times very bright. Also the loading is pretty annoying as it always takes me somehow back to the desktop. Any good mods? [link] [comments] |
