Posted: 19 Feb 2020 09:48 AM PST I've been doing my first play through of the 1st Deux Ex on Realistic and I was wondering why I have died about 500+ times, and then it occurred to me right around the blowing up the naval ship mission that you get points in the game... and that I haven't spent it on anything. Ohhh about 16K worth of points. I wish this wasn't so late in the game it really pains me. Like huh, why am I shooting 6+ shotgun shells at a riot Cop and they're not doing anything? I was basically hiding and not shooting anyone the whole game cause it was instant death, even from the most basic NPC's. Guess i'll learn on the next playthrough lmao [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 19 Feb 2020 10:06 AM PST Spoilers I guess. This is my first playthrough of DX1 after sitting on it for 17 years or so. I just wanted to note that Howard Strong is a total loser and probably couldn't tie his own shoes if he had to. As I came down the elevator in the missile silo, I saw this dude standing on a platform in the middle of the silo. My crosshairs turned red so I instinctively threw a few rounds his direction and killed the guy, thinking it was another nameless MJ12 henchman. It wasn't until I inspected the body that I realized this was the guy I'd been hearing/reading about since I got to Vandenburg! What a loser! Bob Page, you're next! [link] [comments] | ||

I loved the game so much I spent around 90 hours on it, completing the Shifter's unrealistic difficulty. Now, I kind of want to try HR, but I haven't played IW. I heard that it was a disappointment, but story-wise will I be missing out on much if I skip it or is the story of IW really important to have experienced before going to HR? Thanks in advance. | Posted: 19 Feb 2020 11:52 AM PST I'm watching TheSeraphim17's FOTH run and there's one fundamental difference between his video and my game, despite me following his every footstep. The drones don't go into "searching" mode at all on his run, whereas that's inevitable on my run (Cloak or no cloak) and I keep getting the reset bonus after leaving, which implies that an alarm was triggered (left via elevator shaft). EDIT I FOUND A FIX: Knock out the civilians down in the sewers before initiating the conversation with Janus, they are causing the alarm! [link] [comments] |
