Deus Ex Game Fans After Almost 5 Years

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 01:25 PM PDT

anybody else think Deus Ex is the most nostalgic game ever ?

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 04:07 PM PDT

i never played it as a child, only as a teen but i feel like the aesthetics of the game and the whole cyber vibe of it all is just so nostalgic of that time in the early to mid 2000s when life was just a lil better

    Would you get it?

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 09:17 AM PDT

Re-playing deus ex again, this time with the revision mod. Any tricks you guys might know that wasn't obvious?

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 09:32 PM PDT

For example, in my last playthrough(and yes, you guys probably already know these, hence I'm asking as a newbie):

    1. maxed out rifle skills allowed the sniper rifle to one shot and destroy cameras, bypassing them and making stealth a lot easier.

    2. Just 1 level of the microfibral muscle (to carry boxes) is enough to get to many goodies.

    3. Also with dragontooth, you don't need to level melee at all but what happens if you do? You can already break wooden objects (including doors) at base. Will maxing melee let you do anything extra like break the tougher steel barriers?

Deus Ex Mankind Divided DLC weapons and ammo?

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 10:43 PM PDT

I'm starting another play through with the season pass I purchased on sale but I have heard that you pick up dupes of DLC weapons and you don't get the ammo. Is there a work around for this issue? Other than getting rid of the DLC weapons.

Deus Ex M.D DLC Desperate Measures should have been in the Full game

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 11:24 AM PDT

I say this because chang whatever his name is was talking about searching the Train station in the campaign. Now it does go away pretty far from the main plot but this could've been integrated into a Main mission and We also Had a True explanation for the person who bombed the station. But I guess the real game was trying to find which group did it not who did it exactly but it makes you wonder. Also I don't get the Timeline where System rift Takes place it takes place in the main story before Adam goes to the Swiss alps but where not given an actual time jump where that occurs?

Friend playing HR for the first time, hacking behaving oddly

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 07:32 PM PDT

So my friend is playing HR for the first time and I am watching him through discord. Whenever he is in the hacking minigame the cursor isn't behaving very well. Auto selecting actions until you move onto, then back off the action. Not selecting things instantly like it should, and other wonkyness.

Is there any way to fix this or keybind the hacking actions? Mods all seem to just be "instantly complete the hack" which isn't very useful.

It's kind of a big part of the game (you do it a lot, and they have already invested a lot of points into it) and it's really starting to frustrate them with the controls not working right.

    Help with Redsun2020 mod.

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 03:07 PM PDT

I've downloaded the zip version and copied the files to the folders. The menu changed to the Redsun menu but if I start a new game it will only starts the oroginal Deus ex. I made a copy of the Deus ex.exe and renamed it to Redsun2020.exe, but still nothing.

    Jenson Relatability

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 06:50 PM PDT

In many ways Nathan Drake is the average joe, like anyone can be drake in a sense, but in many ways jenson is relatable in this digital age, most contact him through the infolink. In his world and the sequel its impossible to trust anyone. Your fighting for a world which you arent a part of anymore (augmented agent) no longer a DC cop. I wonder if this is what makes Jenson such a greatt SCI-FI character?

Why aren't explosives useful and how could they be improved?

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 10:17 AM PDT

I've been playing Deus Ex recently and noticed that explosives generally aren't that great and most of the community recommends not upgrading explosive skills. Why do you think explosives are bad and how do you think they could be improved?

    Should i continue playing DEHR

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 08:52 AM PDT

Im at the china level rn and im not really enjoying the game. Which is weird since prey and dishonored 2 are my two favorite games. It's difficult to really get invested in the world, even tho it looks interesting. I've found the level design to not be very good and the story no very engaging. Does the game get better later on? I planned on playing MD as well as that one looked more interesting(Prague for sure would be better than Detroit, i really didnt like that place). Should i continue, skip this one and go straight to MD, or is this series just not for me?

[Deus Ex 1] Different sensitivity in menus and game. HUD too big at 1080p

    Posted: 27 Jun 2021 08:34 AM PDT

I installed the game with Kentie exe, maps patch and dx10 renderer. In game, I managed somehow to get it low enough to where it's comfortable and nice, but in menus it's waaaaay slower than it should be. How come?

Also, I'm playing it at 1080, but the HUD is a bit too big. Increasing the resolution above what my monitor supports gets the HUD small enough as I'd like it to be, but the mouse sees the res as it is on my display and thus stops before reaching the bottom of the actual display, making it impossible to click on anything that is too much on the right and too much on the bottom of the hud.

    Thanks for the help!
