Posted: 03 Apr 2021 08:19 AM PDT I didn't exactly enjoy MD, and I'm not sure if that is a controversial statement to make. It probably is to some degree. Apart from the terrible cliff-hanger, I wasn't certain as to why I felt this way after playing it for the first time. Replaying it again made me confirm what I percieve the game lacked in contrast to the original, IW and HR. I feel like there was no element of surprise, no plot-twists, nothing was out of the ordinary... I just played the game from start to finish only to realise that it was already over. In my opinion, the incredibly short story is the weakest characteristic of the game. I'll keep this post short and simple. What I'd like to add is that I hope they'll do better in the next one. Within my own estimation, I feel like it's probable we will have another Deus Ex game (distant future or not). There is so much potential to link the Adam Jensen era with the original (story-wise) - it would be foolish for them to ignore it. [link] [comments] | ||

Posted: 03 Apr 2021 05:25 AM PDT I just finished the highland park mission while taking down everyone silently & avoiding all hostility. However, I did not get the ghost bonus when I finally located Barrett while I got the smooth operator. I really cannot find out anything wrong with my silent & pacifist approach, besides my conversation with two non-military npcs next to the elevator towards the boss battle. When I walked towards them, they simply asked for my passcode and let me pass. I made a double knock-down against them afterward in order to get extra EXP, while they are still friendly towards me. Trying to stealth through Mankind Divided, but I am unsure if I can actually takedown/stun or CQC enemies, hiding them and getting a Ghost or smooth operator status. I'd like to loot them and look around after I clear out an area, but i'm not sure if interacting with enemies at all will remove my chance at any of the stealth regarding awards. Thanks in advance.
