What is the most realistic conspiracy from the original Deus Ex?

Also was any conspiracy proved to be correct in the last 20 years?

Invisible War is such a terrible game

I'm replaying the whole series once again. Deus Ex was brilliant, even though the story seems a little bit less appealing then on first playthrough. Then I proceeded to Invisible War... Gotta admit, I was thinking about abandoning the run and going straight to Human Revolution.

I guess lots of things were said about gameplay. I have one thing, that annoys me in particular. The immersion in this game is non existent. NPCs are just information dumps. Dialogues doesnt even seem real. Some other games in that era had this problem as well (f.e. Fallout), but... Deus Ex 1 had much more fleshed out characters. Here... only JC Denton seems real, and he's not even a human...

Helios Texture Overhaul mod for Deus Ex

    Posted: 02 Mar 2021 11:01 AM PST

Which mod to use for first playthrough?

    Posted: 02 Mar 2021 01:37 PM PST

I'm going to play through Deus Ex: GOTY for the first time, and I'm wondering which mod I should use. Here are the four I've gathered.

    GMDX

    Revision

    New Vision 1.5+HDTP

    New Vision 2.0a

I know I should probably play GMDX on my second playthrough and Revision on my third. I'm really asking which one of the latter two I should use, but maybe I'm wrong. Mods that I haven't listed are also welcome. I don't want an experience too far from the vanilla.

(I apologize if I have used the wrong flair. Wish it would let me use more than one.)

What's your least favorite Deus Ex game?

    Posted: 02 Mar 2021 11:43 AM PST

Mine is The Fall. I played it mobile... yeah. The controls were at least responsive. It did not have controller support, and that was probably the worst part of the controls, not being able to use a controller on mobile. The graphics for a 2013 (or 2014?) mobile FPS were passive, though, for the character models to look so bad is no excuse. The sounds were mostly compressed for... no reason. The story was bad because it ended on a cliffhanger. And the voice acting was pretty good.
