Revision question - If Tab is my "open inventory" button, why doesn't tab close it again? Posted: 21 Jan 2021 11:28 AM PST To me this seems very against what I thought would be a modernisation and quality of life improvements of an old game. I have configured Tab to open inventory, but only ESC will close it. I just want Tab to close inventory, can I do this? Also, pushing space will put my items away, even though I have de-selected this in the Keybind menu. I have enable space as my pick up item button so this is very tedious that I keep putting my items away if I accidentally miss the item I am trying to pick up. [link] [comments]
Posted: 21 Jan 2021 04:51 PM PST I just finished this game for the first time, and while i did enjoy it immensly it seems that the way i played it is considered bad/unpopular. I played it on the hardest difficulty, and immediately i'm getting one shotted by anyone hostile, so my response was to just headshot everyone with the pistol or sniper rifle, if they were heavies i would use a non-lethal takedown then cap them 2x in the face to prevent their buds from just waking them back up. every level and every area my version of adam jensen went to he killed everyone hostile, and if they weren't hostile but gave xp for kills he made them hostile (gang members, belltower) i spent a good 4 hours just exploring that first fema camp and killing everyone there. for most missions i set off alarms constantly, but i got ghost a few times and smooth operator quite often, im no math matician but it seems to me that killing all the dudes in fema (about 60 of them) with headshots is more xp then the ghost and smooth operator would give. and adam had no qualms about killing people as the first mission you are asked "lethal or non-lethal", when i got to panachea i had a laser rifle i had never used with about 4k rounds, a plasma rifle i had never used with 40 rounds, scoped sniper with 50 rounds, fully upgraded pistol with 60 rounds, grenade launcher with 20 rounds and a few emp and frag grenades and it took almost my entire arsenal to finish the game, those psycho augs come in fucking hoards and i had a lot of fun mowing them down with the laser rifle. and hyron took all my grenades to beat. i like how you are presented 4 endings, but i dislike how adam reflects on his violent aftermath, saying he was addicted to augments, i barely even used the fucking things apart from the wall punch, icarus a few times, and typhoon for the 2-3 times it actually came in useful (if the door could be destroyed i would typhoon it usually instead of wasting AUD's on a level 5 lock), i went with the darrow ending because i feel like adam has some sense of justice and wants the truth out there, because he has been lied to by everyone the entire game up to this point, and he still has a lot to do, just because the game ends there doesn't mean adam wouldn't use his power and influence with people to dig deeper into the illuminati conspiracy and (hopefully) find many more FEMA camps of hyper agumented madlads to wreak havoc on. Although i like david sarif a whole helluva lot (son) i don't feel like adam is comfortable with just lying to people and although he respects sarif he's gotten to the point where he is thinking for himself, same goes for the taggert option (well besides the fact i didn't like him at all)….and the "blow it up,kms, fuck it all" ending was a bit too much for me, i don't feel like adam is ready to die, i feel like he is more comfortable in his new augmented body then even, and he has honed his special ops training and elevated it to another level through the progess of the game, and he's about fucking sick of all the lies, and is ready to do something about it, he's got a huge chip on his shoulder, because like he says he never asked for this, but by pure tenacity he has seen it through to a point that no other person was capable of, so he feels driven to see it to the end. how did you play it? and why do people look down on the violent path? (i know the image is from mankind divided, i used it because i think it looks good) [link] [comments]
[SPOILER] Question About the Mankind Divided Plot! Posted: 21 Jan 2021 05:15 AM PST Again - SPOILER First of all, Mankind Divided has been an absolute masterpiece and I will remember it forever. I am on the last mission in the UK and it feels so incredibly immersive. I really feel like I am inside a huge building where a billionaire speaker is holding a very important event and there is a group of fanatics taking over the whole thing. Anyways! To my quick question - Why is Marchenko in favor of the Human Restoration Act? As an aug himself, I would think he would be completely opposed to it. (I would imagine he is opposed to it since he is planning to kill Nathaniel, who is trying to kill the HRA) Thanks! (Also, please no spoilers for me! I just go to the part where I found Miller in catering and am faced with the decision to save the guests from the poisoned champagne or save the nearby residents by immediately going to Marchenko) [link] [comments]
Ready to give up on Revision.... convince me to keep playing. Posted: 21 Jan 2021 01:40 PM PST Im currently at Hell's Kitchen and my biggest complaint is that everything is way too dark. I've pretty much always got my torch active which I seldom had to do on vanilla DX. It's not a brightness issue as the darkness seems designed to be dark regardless of gamma settings. Otherwise I'm just not feeling it. Didn't like the castle clinton redesign, it felt too linear. Which are the best redesigned areas do you think that are worth continuing playing for?
