Cyberpunk only made me thirsty Posted: 31 Jan 2021 01:11 AM PST I was so hyped for cyberpunk, and while i do love it, bugs aside... it doesn't hold a candle to DX. We need a sequel!! [link] [comments]
I am attemting a Foxiest of Hounds run, and I could use a bit of help. Posted: 30 Jan 2021 11:25 AM PST In the final bossfight, do the 2 robots or the insane augs detecting you count, or does the game not count them as they are unavoidable? If they are counted, how can I avoid being detected by them? [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Jan 2021 05:11 PM PST I'm working on a small film project themed around Deus Ex, and I was wondering if anyone could supply me with the various HUD, pause menu, and inventory elements in image form to make my job a little easier. Much appreciated [link] [comments]
Should I keep playing Human Revolution? Posted: 30 Jan 2021 02:36 PM PST I'm a huuuge fan of Arkane Studios, especially because their games are extremely well designed, give off a strong sense of presence and immersion, and encourage high player agency and emergent gameplay. It is only natural that I decided to try Deus Ex, and the fanbase led me to believe that Human Revolution is the place to start. After a few hours of gameplay, though (I'm still at the very beginning, when>! you return after your first mission and a friend of yours is at your office begging for help because he stole an important substance!<) I'm not finding the elements I expected to find in the game. Things don't feel very natural and immersive, and it doesn't seem like I'm taking part of a living breathing world. This is partly because of outdated graphics, which I can't blame, but the thing is, every "emergent" option the game gives you feels unnatural. Alternative paths are thrown in your face, and are generally a door you can hack, a conveniently placed vent, or a perfectly designed track. The game goes as far as making almost everything you can interact with glow orange. It seems like there isn't a whole lot of stuff you can interact with too, and not many interlocking systems that I can use to my advantage in creative ways. Now, I don't wan't to trash on the game, especially because I still haven't played much, but what I wanted to know is: are my complaints unjustified, am I judging it too soon, or is it really not for me? Does the game get significantly better afterwards? [link] [comments]
Low FPS on Deus Ex: Mankind Divided (PS5) Posted: 30 Jan 2021 10:32 AM PST So in my local store I saw this interesting game and wanted to give it a shot. I installed it, was already a little bit hyped and then boom. The game hitted me with those ~20 fps right in the face. Can I do something about this or is it just the way it is? I really want to play it and not just put it away and never try it again. [link] [comments]
Having Problems with Kentie's Launcher (Deus Exe) Posted: 30 Jan 2021 09:17 AM PST Tried the following; +downloading visual studio 2015 (_x86) +renaming the older deusex.exe and putting the one from the launcher inside (keeping both newer and older files) +changing both fullscreen and windows resolutions via .ini file and setting it to read-only +downloading Kentie's Direct3D 10 renderer and placing the folder for Deus Ex into /System What do I do to run this game in 1440p resolution without problems? Sry for bad english [link] [comments]
Dues Ex fan base? Are certain sections kinda looney? Posted: 30 Jan 2021 06:18 AM PST So I got recommended a video about how like dues ex (the first game) predicted the future. And like all the comments were kinda weird. Like the first clip in the video is talking about how global elites are trying to take over the world with like a disease. And some dude in the comments was trying to tie martial law with COVID. He had a warm response. Highly upvoted. Which is weird? Because that's just wrong. Like COVID is being used to decrease birth rates and intact martial law. And this game some how predicted this? [link] [comments] |
