Just finished DXMD for first time.

    That was very immersive expircience.

The locations are fantastic, 9,9/10. All I would like to see is more "scenic" views like the one in the beggining of the first mission.

There are common comments that game feels half-cut. Well. I wouldnt say so. This game is a good complete story.

A story that needs a second part like bourne identity needed next movies.

There were two things that were a bit annoying. TO MANY DUCTS! It seems that there were unsecured duct everywhere including bank vaults...

And second one - both boss fights were WAAAY to easy. Stun-run-takedown...

Hey guys. It's been more than 10 years I haven't touched DeusEx 1. I finished it around 5 times back then, and now I'm ready to replay it on Realistic with GMDX thanks to the last steam sales. What are the things you wish you'd have known before going through your first GMDX playthrough?

Is there any other way around the first turret in Sarif or am I screwed?

Playing HR for the first time and loving it. I just got to the turret in the Sarif manufacturing plant level and got my first Praxis shortly before. Foolishly , I spent it on an arm upgrade and now I can't upgrade myself to hack turrets. Is there another way around or am I screwed?

Hey all and happy new year.

The first Deus Ex is the best videogame I've ever played since 2000 and I know that lots of people here share this with me :)

I didn't get to play any other game in the series until I picked MD a few weeks ago and all of a sudden the magic was back. I loved it and I'm currently doing my second playthrough, a power-run after a stealth-run. I have a couple of observations:

    1. Like others mentioned, MD seems biased towards stealth pacifist. I am finding it a more 'judgemental' game than the first one was.
    2. I have spent 70 hours in the first run and done all the side missions I could, but after completing the story once, I opened some wiki page and realized that I had not only missed some, but that the freedom of exploring Prague by myself actually wasn't a good thing. For instance, during my first run I explored the sewers by myself and randomly stumbled upon the drug lab and shut it down without having a clue on the backstory. Same for lots of other situations. Now with the guide I'm loosely following I get to understand a lot more, which makes me question whether it would be a good idea to block access to certain areas before some clues have been unearthed. The title of this post is because my being too curious during the first run prevented me from actually enjoying the plot and so it kinda 'killed' some storyline elements.

Nonetheless, I can't stop playing, this game is just so good. It's a pity that HR is not available for Mac, otherwise I would get it in the blink of an eye.
