Just finished Mankind Divided for the second time...

...and God this game is really underrated. I like the plot, the atmosphere of an old European city adopted to cyberpunk reality, I like the music, level design, but why it has to end when it already started?

Also, why Square Enix don't like to give us the third part of the prequels to one and the only original Deus Ex? It's such a great series with lots of potential!

Try playing DXHR/MD through with music turned off

It's amazing. Seriously. It made the immersive sim aspect just so much more...immersive, for me, and promoted more focus on tasks at hand. Very interesting experience.

I found a game some of the Deus Ex crowd will like: Sludge Life

    Posted: 24 Nov 2020 05:51 AM PST

Dig this: want a first person exploration game, for free at the Epic store? Try Sludge Life. You play as a tagger in a sort of off shore industrial complex on strike and you wander around, looking for walls to tag, people to talk to, and taking in the setting. Crazy aesthetics of a crazy world, with lots of charm. Entranced by it I finished it in one and half hour. You know when the level grows on you, because of all the exploration you did? I'm kinda missing it already.

Oh and a thing I noticed: the buildings are authentically built. You can enter every room of them, they all have bathrooms. This detail made me think of Deus Ex!

So, anyway, do try it out!

edit: a bad sync told me the wrong time. I finished the game in 3h25! not one and half.

Is there a comprehensive guide anywhere for the best new player mod setup for DX1?

    Posted: 24 Nov 2020 07:56 AM PST

I checked FAQ and stickies and saw a recommendation for Kentie's launcher. I'm also seeing a variety of competing recommendations for at least two different texture packs, GMDX 10, Transcended, and Community Update. What I'm not seeing is a comprehensive "install all of these specific things for the best new player experience and start playing."

I'd like to install this game and enjoy it. What should I do?

Deus Ex:HR, Any way to use toggle cover?

    Posted: 24 Nov 2020 02:21 AM PST

Holding my right mouse button while taking cover is far from ideal, any way to make it "toggle"?
