    How compromised is Congress and the Supreme Court in the original Deus Ex?

    President Mead is a puppet by the Illuminati so we can assume his cabinet and the entire executive branch is compromised (also backed up by the fact that Leo Gold says that "the entire executive branch is handpicked". What about the Legislative and the Judiciary?

    In newspapers, it appears that there is backlash from both the Democrats and Republicans in Congress against actions that President Mead has taken (see https://deusex.fandom.com/wiki/Philip_Riley_Mead).

    The only newspaper relevant to the Supreme Court is this one https://deusex.fandom.com/wiki/New_World_Press#Court_Upholds_NY_Grid_Law and it appears that the Supreme Court is adding to the restrictions on civil liberty in their rulings by upholding state laws in New York that restrict travel between two "grid zones" to highly surveillanced junction points and preventing free foot traffic.

    One of the many reasons why Adam Jensen's story has not finished yet was due to SE's poor commercial handling of Mankind Divided. (I mean seriously, that Preorder was stupid.) The game itself was pretty ok but the story to took a big hit to set up future sequels. The worse part is that they had Eidos helping out Crystal Dynamics on that shit tier Avengers game. This is what pisses me off the most, They made them help work on that game and then it releases in a buggy mess after being delayed and now according to Steam there is a 98% drop in players. What I'm trying to say is that we could have had another Deus Ex Game however, Square decides to go for a shitty game with a low population that costed them millions of dollars....Good job Square... just go back to making JRPGs

    The most useless augmentations in DX games

    My pick for the most pointless in the original is leg augmentation "Run Silent". Stealth can be done without it and choosing it over the super useful "Speed Enhancement" aug is kinda like shooting yourself in the foot.

    The most useless in prequels is probably that social "alpha, beta omega" dialog graphic thing. I've always been kinda proud of myself for being able to rely on my own judgment to complete persuasion sequences without failing, so I never spent praxis on it. However, it backfired badly during my playthrough of that prison story in Mankind Divided. As far as I remember, you get social aug by default when you re-activate your powers. So when the time came to convince the last guy I failed a bunch of times because I never used it and got confused. I kept failing until I stopped caring about what that thing shows me and started paying more attention to what that guy was saying.

    So what about your picks?

    Which mods should I use for the original Deus Ex ?

    I really want to play this game and finish the rest of the deus ex series before playing the upcoming cyberpunk2077. I don't wanna butcher the game with countless mods but I think I really need some graphic mods to be able to play and enjoy this game. What are your suggestions ?

    How do I get into DX1?

    I love Human Revolution and Mankind Divided, but I never managed to get into the original Deus Ex.

    I played it literally once, but I couldn't finish the tutorial and gave up. The stealth feels confusing and super hard, there's no way to tell if an enemy will see me when I move out of cover, and I just got stuck at the end where you have to sneak past(?) a robot, it just kept killing me so I quit.

    Any tips?
