some more dumb questions about the plot

    Posted: 08 Jun 2020 05:16 PM PDT

so what's up with the mechanic in everett's house? he's an mj12 spy, and he plants a bomb in jocks helicopter. assuming JC didn't kill him, why does the bomb only explode when you get to area 51? bob page could have immediately gotten rid of the Denton problem if he'd just blown up the helicopter soon as he could. why didn't he do it?

does the luminous path work with the nsf, or is it just tong and he's using their compound to hide out? why doesn't bob page just kill tracer tong? he clearly has the authority to do so, he sent a shit ton of majestic 12 troops to the bar when you meet max cheng to kill you.

why did bob page come up with this whole "plunge them into war and destabilize them" scheme for the triads instead of just declaring them illegal and getting rid of them? the end goal is the same, why play the long game? if he's looking to control them, he already has maggie chow on the inside, why doesn't he just try to destabilize the luminous patch since they're also housing tong?

later on when you learn tong had to flee hong kong JC also asks "is it because of the triads?". why would that be the case? they both already knew tong was with the luminous path, what reason would they have to kick him out?

why did bob page have to be in that big machine in area 51 in order to merge with helios? he was already nano augmented, what was the difference between him and JC? was it because JC has ""perfect"" genetics and he didn't?

Is there a mod that changes the confusing controls for Deus Ex?

    Posted: 08 Jun 2020 08:58 PM PDT

Already happened to me once. I played a game with confusing controls, then I go play some other game and I started using those confusing controls, All because of that game. It already happened once and don't want it to happen again.

Anyone done a no-death run of Deus Ex 1

    Posted: 08 Jun 2020 12:43 PM PDT

The original one from 2000. No exploits. Just a normal run through of the game on realistic. No quit outs if in danger.

Anyone else find Mankind Divided a buggy mess on PC?

    Posted: 08 Jun 2020 03:30 PM PDT

So I got Mankind Divided a while ago when it was on sale on Steam, and as we're in still in lockdown (sort of), I finally decided to give it a go. My playthrough has been absolute hell.

The game has crashed plenty of times at key points (such as the infamous train station cut scene crash) and the only fix seems to have been running in windowed mode with the graphics preset set to 'low'. Also, the game has softlocked on the loading screen on many occasions when I've attempted to quick load a save. I've looked up various fixes, but haven't been able to find anything that works, other than changing the settings at specific points, although it's all really taken away from the overall experience.

Before anyone asks, I'm running on a fairly decent system (Ryzen 3700X, GTX1070, 16GB RAM) at 1080p on 'high', and when it actually works, it's brilliant!

So I've sadly found myself leaving a negative review for this on Steam, urging people to buy it for consoles instead. I was fortunate to have already played it when it first released on PS4, but unfortunately, this experience has ruined the game for me a bit, and my views on it have soured. I was really looking forward to trying it on PC, and really hoping for a better experience. If I'd known how much of a mess it is, then I wouldn't have bothered. Anyone else have these issues?

Does anyone have a fresh new game + save they wouldn’t mind sharing?

    Posted: 08 Jun 2020 09:01 AM PDT

I'm trying to kill time in Covid-19 lockdown. I played this game pretty extensively when it came out and loved it. Now I'm getting back into it and I'd like to start off with a lot of praxis points so I can mess around and really get a full experience from beginning to end. Can anyone help a guy out?
