Deus Ex Gets A Remastered Soundtrack

Just got this in from their p.r. they have remastered the music of the original game.

    https://preview.redd.it/2ez3rzij1a551.jpg?width=1200&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=998e3d9e0ad8020f897f67359539548906bc3b40

I have linked full details here. One part of the e mail said remastered and another said remixed so I would go with Remix for now.

Do the old Deus Ex games hold up?

    Posted: 16 Jun 2020 06:03 PM PDT

I've play only the new Deus Ex games and freaking LOVED Manking Divided so much I was considering buying the book.
But my question now, do the old games hold up as well? I am not one to come back to old games usually but hey, more Deus Ex world for my crusty heart.

Pallisade Bank's security systems are a monster (especially if they were to use the prototype systems)

    Posted: 16 Jun 2020 05:14 AM PDT

Not sure how many people here played System Rift, but for those who did, it must've been somewhat memorable in regard of the HeatEye security which you only encountered near the end.

I only recently finished it for the first time, but besides the systems present (HeatEye being somewhat memorable, rest being somewhat standard), more eyecatching were the things 'in development' being mentioned.

What was present in Pallisade were:
    - Standard cameras
    - Camera-eye turrets
    - 'Drop-down' turrets
    - Lasers (regular and tripwire)
    - HeatEye technology (cameras, turrets and robots) - Lethal traps - 'Shackled' AI for mostly digital security, but also keeping the building well-maintained etc
    - 'Lavawall' (state-of-the-art firewall) - And of course human guards

Now what was in development as per mails etc:
    - Non-lethal traps
    - 'Smell' detectors

In mails etc got mentioned the bank would expand the HeatEye systems to more places 'later on'. If Pallisade were to have had both HeatEye and the 'smell' detectors active as security, together with all the other security measures...... I'm not sure even an elite team would be able to take it on and win.

    Combat rifle or machine pistol?

    Posted: 16 Jun 2020 09:35 AM PDT

I've just started playing Deus Ex: Human Revolution: Director's Cut. Before the first mission I've chosen the combat rifle because I kinda liked using it in the prologue and later I came across the machine pistol. Which one is better?
