Audio mismatch after 1112fm patch Posted: 12 Apr 2020 09:47 PM PDT I just discovered GMDX and had to install the 1112fm patch for it to work... I have the 1002f disc. After installing the patch there are many conversations where the wrong audio plays (the subtitles are correct). This happens whether I play the original or mod. Uninstalling and installing the game didn't make a difference. Any way to fix this? For now I've turned the speech volume down to 1. Thanks!! [link] [comments]
Posted: 12 Apr 2020 12:17 PM PDT There's been debate of JC being either an INTJ or INTP, which is reasonable given that he's pretty intuitive, introverted, skeptical, witty, and intelligent. However, INTJ uses Ni-Te-Fi-Se, while INTP uses Ti-Ne-Si-Fe. I'm more inclined to believe that JC is an INTJ, because he had a very good Ni and his lines tend to be very Ni-oriented (as is the whole game). However, JC is such a malleable character that your choices will affect his personality and the lines he says. Anyways, here's Mrs. Denton's MBTI list for Deus Ex: JC Denton: INTx - Introverted, Intuitive, Thinking, but whether Perceiving or Judging is up for debate. Paul Denton: ENFJ - Demonstrates strong use of Fe and Ni. Is strong, passionate, direct, and extroverted, however, he can see the underlying patterns beneath everything. Anna Navarre: ISTP - Your typical no-bullshit, kinesthetically-gifted, unemotional badass. Gunther Hermann: xSTx - I have a bit of trouble typing Gunther because we don't see too much of him in the game. But he's definitely a sensor and a thinker because of his love for shooting things. He can be a bit emotional at times, but he's usually collected. Joseph Manderley: ESTJ - Typical boss type. Turned on by rules and regulations. Will make sure you act like a professional. Can make you sign anything. Jaime Reyes: ISFJ - Caring, dependable, and lowkey sassy. Remembers every single detail about the neurons—and just about everywhere—in your nanoaugmented body. Alex Jacobson: INTP - Typical geek. Was probably a child prodigy. Graduated with multiple Ph.Ds in computer science, network systems, and communications engineering by the time he was 20. Sandra Renton: ESTP - Is not particularly interested in the feelings of her father (or yours, for your information). Rebellious and adventurous, always seeking a fresh start regardless of anybody else's opinions. Smuggler: INTP - Whacked-out paranoid, but there's a method to the madness. Knows shit you probably don't. Nicolette DuClare: INFJ - Rebel with a cause. Likes supporting causes in the shadows. Understands how society works. Morgan Everett: INTJ - Hustles behind the scenes so his wetdream of being the world's puppet master comes into fruition someday. Sees and opportunity and seizes it. High IQ. Stanton Dowd: INTJ - Morgan Everett's buddy. Seems nice but is also scheming to control the world. Tracer Tong: INTP - Genius IQ. A cybertech rogue. Developed a method to a problem nobody knew could be solved for certain. Maggie Chow: ESFJ - Fame, fortune, and riches. Stays fabulous. Her wardrobe is worth more than your entire yearly income. Walton Simons: ESTJ - Bob Page's enforcer. Kink? People keeping their nose to the pavement. Is nice enough if you do things his way. Bob Page: ENTJ - The supreme megalomaniac. Believes himself a god. Lowkey a nerd. Leave your comments and thoughts below! [link] [comments]
Posted: 12 Apr 2020 10:24 AM PDT Title says it all: I don't like the gameplay changes GMDX makes to the game but I do love how the game has been been visually updated and detailed. Is there any way to go about disabling the gamepaly changes it makes or somehow taking the textures and applying them to the base game? Thanks! [link] [comments]

Mankind Divided modding - Cheats menu and binary with symbols Posted: 12 Apr 2020 07:59 AM PDT I've been working on modding Mankind Divided for some time now, and I finally have something to share! I've created MDSuen, an experimental tool that will hook the game and right now allows access to hidden functions and logs function calls to help with reverse engineering. It currently lets you access hidden menus, such as the map select screen and cheat screen. It's only compatible with the Linux version of the game, but I aim to port it to Windows in the future. During my work on MDSuen, I've also found a non-stripped binary of the macOS version of the game. This is extremely helpful for anyone looking to reverse-engineer the game, as this binary has all the original class and function names. It can be downloaded directly from Steam, I've put instructions into the git repository. I hope this will help us understand the game better and let us create more complex mods. I've put the source code of MDSuen and some useful notes into a public git repository. Contributions are welcome! I've also recorded a demo of the hidden menus and game console in action. Having problems with Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut on Windows 10. Posted: 12 Apr 2020 09:27 AM PDT Hey everyone. I recently reinstalled Deus Ex Human Revolution (Steam), but I've had some issues with it. Basically, the game will not allow me to move with my keyboard or use the E key. I can look around, but cannot move at all. I looked around online to see if anyone else had this problem and no luck. I know it's not my keyboard because it works perfectly fine on other games. Anyone else having this problem? I'm running it on a Vega 56 with 16 GB of RAM and a Ryzen 5 2600, so it can't be my specs either Edit: For some reason all I needed to do was move my keyboard from one USB port to another and it works now [link] [comments]
GMDX weapon mod location change Posted: 12 Apr 2020 02:52 PM PDT Ok, so I'm playing through Deus Ex 1 with the GMDX mod and I used a guide about weapon modification locations because I couldn't find a silencer anywhere. All the places where they are supposed to be like Paul's apartment and the venderberg trailer in the Tiffany rescue, the mod is replaced with accuracy or reload. Is there a place I can get a silencer with GMDX? Does anyone else have this issue? [link] [comments]
Posted: 12 Apr 2020 01:12 PM PDT So I've been wrestling with modding Deus Ex all weekend and while I have most of what I want, I can't run the game in DX10 without major lag. It pretty much goes: count 1, 2, 3, lag... 1, 2, 3, lag... and so on. I've read that this might be due to the fact that new hardware just will not work with this game in every way. Specs if it helps: Ryzen 2700x 16GB DDR4 RAM 1080Ti FTW3 Samsung 500GB SSD 850W PSU Once again, thanks in advance [link] [comments]

I downloaded both Deus Ex GOTY edition and Revision... what's the difference? Which do I play first? Posted: 12 Apr 2020 01:18 AM PDT So, I have always wanted to play Deus Ex for years, never knowing fully what it's about. Which of these two games is the *right* way to begin the series? Please help me with Foxiest of the Hounds in DX:MD Posted: 12 Apr 2020 06:22 AM PDT I'm going a bit crazy trying to get this achievement. I've tried a few times now to do a stealthy-as-possible playthrough of MD, sticking just to the main objectives and using cloak a lot, hiding bodies and so on. But I still can't seem to get it. Here's a question that I think would help: every time you get "Getting things done" is it also possible to get "Ghost" and "Smooth operator"? If I knew that, I could keep retrying each section until I get those rewards. [link] [comments]
How to fake lip sync during conversations without audio? Posted: 12 Apr 2020 01:59 AM PDT I swear I recall hearing / seeing a method to do this, but can't seem to find it. In vanilla, if a conversation doesn't have audio the characters mouth won't just move at all while the text is displayed. Which I find weirder then there being no audio. If anyone knows a method to fake the lip sync, I'd love to know! [link] [comments]
Xbox One/360 Human Revolution Questions (Relating to DC) Posted: 12 Apr 2020 04:15 AM PDT Before I start, let me say that I bought the 360 retail copy of HR DC and haven't opened it and that's because a) I forgot and b) I had invested a number of hours in HR already and wasn't sure what to do. I think the answer is no but is it possible to install the DC and my existing save game will work on the DC? My main reason for asking is because I am playing on the Give Me Deus Ex difficulty and I'm quite far through the game now (got up to where The Missing Link starts and I'm at the Namir boss) but I don't have any ammo to speak of. Do I have a chance with this boss or am I going to have to use the takedown glitch? I know that starting HR DC would mean going back to the beginning if saves don't carry over but if I don't and need to build up some ammo for Namir, I would likely have to go back some way in the DLC, unless a HR expert can tell me where a gun and ammo I can use is in TML that is effective against this boss. Maybe I should just 'git gud' 😂 I think if there are many more bosses after this I would consider starting again as it has completely halted me playing a game I want to finish so that I can move on to Mankind Divided, which hopefully doesn't have this 'issue'. I know it has others but I'll be satisfied if this isn't one of them! [link] [comments] |
