Knock everyone out or full on stealth mode. What do you think is best/canon in Mankind Divided? Posted: 20 Dec 2019 04:46 PM PST Been playing Deus Ex since the first game and I always used to love the fact that if you knocked out everyone on the first mission for example then the UNATCO soldiers commented something along the lines of "don't go so easy on them next time" whereas if you full on stealth the mission without touching anyone then the NSF soldiers all get wiped out by UNATCO soldiers sweeping the area after JC's objectives are complete. So technically you were saving lives by knocking out enemies in a lot of cases which made me stick to this throughout the game. This got me wondering what do you guys think is the likely canon way that Jensen would be dealing with things in this game? It seems to me more likely that he would knock everyone out because in some cases the guys he is leaving untouched via stealth could cause problems for another innocent such as the Dvali thugs attacking Kollers bookstore in mission 3. It seems a bit lazy, dangerous and uncaring of him to leave them all untouched. But on the other hand if he tries to use lethal takedowns this will almost certainly result in a full blown shootout. I know in comics and media we see Jensen killing but I think a lot of that is for special effect.
