Posted: 26 Jul 2021 02:58 PM PDT To set things clear, I have 43 hours in Deus Ex GOTY and 63 in Deus Ex Revision and still going for platinum... can't get enough. I think Ill play GMDX after that + Malkavian mod just to have some laughs (dunno how long that one is lol). With that said... Everywhere I see, people tend to bring these two along with Disonored to the table, saying they're great games. I have the four Thief games and the two System Shock games on steam thanks to the Eidos bundle but never played them, and while I don't care which one is "better" since thats subjetive, I wanna know if they ARE similar. TBH I know nothing about those games, I know SS is a "complex" horror game and Thief feels like playing an Oblivion's sneak build... So this topic is to talk a bit about that, I wanna know what makes them special, how complex they are, how much replayability they offer... And on the third time, oh boy... I got hooked. Deus Ex GOTY gives me the same feeling of playing TES games or Terraria: It doesn't matter how many times you start the game, it's going to be the same story BUT you can play and do everything however the fuck you want, and most importantly: It doesn't get boring. I finished my Realistic playtyhrough and instantly started another save file to go achievement hunting. BACK ON TOPIC. I wanna play more old games, and again, these two are the ones people name a lot. How hard is System Shock? I saw it has almost the same look that DX has with the blocky props and the music is good too... I think it has crafting too? I really enjoy games with lots of items to pick up. How's Thief? I only watched a tiny bit of gameplay and thats about it, but it didn't look too hard since you can knock people out... the "water arrow" seems silly though. With all of this I wanna know you guy's opinions. I wanna know how good or bad each game is, if they're legitimate clunky or you get used to it real fast. DX does not hold your hand but once you know what to do you can finish Liberty Island with your eyes closed. Do I need some patches to play each game? I don't want any HD texture pack or anything, I just wanna play the game with no problems on W10. Oh man I just noticed I did type a lot... Woops. ANYWAYS tell me you guy's opinions, I will surely play them but I wanna get hyped first! So treat me like it's 2000 and you wanna make me check these games out! [link] [comments] |
What does the Sentinal Rx system actually do? Posted: 26 Jul 2021 05:01 PM PDT I know that it regenerates Adam's health. But how does it do that? Does it repair Adam's augments? Cause most of the damage the Adam takes, would be in his augments since he is more metal than man. Or does it repair his flesh, or is it both? In deus ex 1 the regen aug likely repairs JCs bones and flesh. Maybe the Sentinel Rx is like morphine shots from half life, and death is Adam succumbing to pain. [link] [comments] |
Just finished Mankind Divided for the first time. I loved Human Revolution back in the day, but... Posted: 26 Jul 2021 01:07 PM PDT where Human Revolution made me actually think about man and technology and the future, it was philosophical and deep in a way. I even enjoyed the ending, but iirc I was in the minority on that opinion. Anyway I was expecting great things from Mankind Divided... but felt kinda like a Hollywood action movie in comparison. A shallow plot, no mystery in it's characters... it's like the soul and love and just cleverness all disappeared from the world they created. Anyone else share the opinion? Edit: should also note; I loved the sidequests. I wish only the main mission/plot were as clever as the sidequests were... [link] [comments] |
