Theory of what could have been in next Jensen Story...(Vague References to DE:MD) Posted: 13 Oct 2020 11:05 PM PDT Okay so everyone that plays Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is aware of the "public media" in the game. You have the Radio DJ, Eliza 2.0, the "newspaper tablets" and the alt news from Samizdat. (Not to mention all of the e-books) So as everyone knows, much like the newspaper in the old Hitman games, you can get information about things that are happening in the game and how the things that happen are conveyed to the public. And we've all seen how if you watch the news at different parts of the game, they also essentially mention key players that are pulling the strings, as well as things and people that you are going to encounter in the future. One thing that is set up to catch your attention early in the game is the new city being built for Augmented Citizens, Rabi'ah. You meet the recruiter in the subway. You know that it's the same company that built the Utulek Complex (Golem City), and you know that the city is being built solely by augmented citizens (like Panchaea). Now at first, it's as if it could be another "slum" like Utulek, but it is explained that Golem City failed because of the poor funding and priorities of the government as they intended it to be more of a concentration camp than a safe haven, which was in direct opposition to the Santeau Group and Nathaniel Brown (the company building it). But Rabi'ah is supposed to be different. It is stressed to us over and over that things are getting so bad for augs all over the world, that ultimately they will have to decide on living somewhere like Utulek until it kills them, or moving to the absolute middle of nowhere in the desert where this entirely remote paradise is being built...just for them. They stress over and over that it will essentially be a safe haven for all augs of the world to live and continue working with the development and implementation of augmented technologies. Now to my point. When I returned to Prague at night, and after I completed the side quest for a certain A.I. that required I go back to Jensen's apartment, I decided to turn on the radio. The DJ is discussing Rabi'ah and the nightmare of logistics of all of those augs in the middle of nowhere so far from everything else. He asks how they could possibly get all the neuropozyne required and how they'd even get it there along with everything else they'd need, along with how expensive this would get over time. This of course got me thinking of VERSALIFE (Bob Page) building a facility there, and once you involve Bob Page, you know there's stuff going on behind the curtain and a bigger picture. So then, I turned the television on and was watching Eliza 2.0. She's actually talking to Nathaniel Brown about Rabi'ah, more of the same... What's interesting is the story that immediately followed. Earlier stories from both Picus (or one of the vaults) and Samizdat had mentioned the moon base and things in space, but now Eliza was talking about a twelve trillion dollar ($12,000,000,000,000.00) project for this massive Space Defense System designed with enough fire power to destroy incoming asteroids, space debris, and any other threat from space. What makes this interesting is how she specifically mentions how since it was put into action, it has not been used one time, is never mentioned, and talk and mention of the entire project has just disappeared as if it never happened. Then she makes a comment that because of its immense power, there are those that have expressed concerns that it could pose a HUGE risk of some kind were it be hacked by a group such as the Juggernaut Collective (which WE all know is just Picus using the media to paint the JC as terrorists when they're really just after the truth). She then goes on to say that the military assured her that it is safe and secure. So my theory is this. I think if they had made the next Deus Ex game with a continuation of the Jensen story, that Rabi'ah largely succeeds in gathering a vast majority of the world's augmented citizens into one large, remote city. I think believe that this will lead to the final stage of Lucious DeBeers's ultimate plan with the Illuminati: Take control of that huge space weapon orbiting the earth, and use the energy blast designed to obliterate asteroids and turn it towards the Earth in order to wipe out Rabi'ah, Nathaniel Brown and The Santeau Group, along with every single augmented person there. One big swoop. Because of the severely remote location, far in the desert, there would be no witnesses or anyone alive to recount what happened. Picus and the world's media would simply spin the story that it had to do with it being all augs that were continuing to advance technology beyond the limits of what humanity should explore and in doing so caused their own destruction. Thus, virtually eliminating all augmented persons and instilling a permanent fear in the remaining populace. [link] [comments]
GMDX - Direct3D 10 Support extremely laggy? Posted: 13 Oct 2020 10:37 PM PDT I have no idea but D3D10 is laggy as fuck for me, OpenGL is fine but it can glitch up as well and cause my entire monitor to be "brighter" as a result of it forcing me to restart my PC. It's also pretty glitchy and unresponsive when I go into the start menu etc. Any idea what's wrong? I get that it's an old game and all. My specs:

Wanna replay Deus Ex 1, need help modding Posted: 13 Oct 2020 09:27 PM PDT So I wanted to replay Deus Ex and I know there was a way to mod the game with newer HD skins. I did it with New Vision years ago but I uninstalled the game, and when I tried to do it again, couldn't figure it out. Can anyone guide me on how to mod the game? [link] [comments]

Doing a DeusEx marathon and seeking suggestions and guidance Posted: 13 Oct 2020 01:35 PM PDT Hello! I'm planning on starting a Deus Ex marathon in the next week and I'd like to have some suggestions on what to play and what to skip and my biggest question, what order? I have the steam collection and not sure where to start. Thanks in advance! [link] [comments]
[DE:HR CTD] was a fix ever found for the CTD during Cloak and Daggers? Posted: 13 Oct 2020 12:28 PM PDT I've done a lot of googling and no answers. The CTD happens when you approach the ladder next to the basketball goal. I've tried all the video settings and hugging the walls. No idea how to fix this. [link] [comments] |
